"Good activities, caring staff, need more nurses and staff"
I liked the activity options. Chose it for health issues acceptance. Kind staff, clean, happy experience. Nurses need quicker response; more staff needed.

"Luxurious Feel and Delicious Meals at Assisted Living Facility!"
Our family visited for a tour and it was great! The dining hall felt fancy, like a country club. And the meal we had was amazing!

"Caring Staff and Activities at The Fairfax During Covid-19"
The Fairfax has been taking good care of the residents during the Covid-19 pandemic. I think they need more staff. They have activities for the residents, although my husband doesn't often participate. The medical care at The Fairfax is good, and the food is pretty good too.

"Costly Service Gap"
The place is nice, but other communities provide better service for less money. It's quite expensive.

"Unwelcoming staff and abrupt finance talks at clean facility."
The place was neat and tidy. It seemed that they were getting ready to serve lunch, which gave us a chance to meet a few of the people living there. They had a variety of activities, it seemed. However, the staff wasn't very helpful or polite. They started discussing money matters before we even began our tour - and this was in the hallway, not even inside a private office. They seemed eager to jump into logistical talks right when we arrived.

"Beautiful but Too Expensive for Our Budget"
We visited Fairfax and were shocked by how pricey it was about $10,000 a month. We would also need to set up a trust to make sure my mother could afford it. There was a big, non-refundable community fee just to get in, which was also in the thousands. For those who can afford it, it would be like living in a luxury resort. I’m glad it’s available for others, but it was out of our budget. The place was beautiful.

The cost here is really good. It’s like my family and I can relax about money. Everything’s just right here.

"Deceptive Assisted Living Facility Tests Patience & Last Minute Surprises"
While the facility looks nice, the staff here at the Fairfax is simply unorganized and unprofessional. When you ask a question, you're guaranteed to get completely different answers depending on who you ask. You'd think the accounting team, resident services, and maintenance workers would be on the same page, but no luck there! Trying to understand the monthly statements is a disaster, and don't even get me started on setting up cable TV. It's made it extremely frustrating as a resident to have to constantly call the staff about these issues. This place feels just like owning a single-family home where you're the one needing to bring in help and take care of maintenance. So much for stress-free living, right? The staff at the Fairfax seems to be more concerned about leaving at exactly 4 pm than actually helping their residents. And god forbid you try to call them for help or ask a question. No one ever answers! Instead, you're stuck leaving a voicemail and waiting for someone to get back to you. On the bright side, the other residents are pretty great, and there are a good amount of activities and trips they organize. The food is fairly good overall too. But don't think for a second that your move-in process will be a breeze. Just before my move-in date, I was sent a legal document saying my kids and grandkids would be responsible for any future healthcare costs if I ran out of money. Talk about a stressful surprise! I had to push back my move-in date, deal with rescheduling the movers, and consult with an attorney before I could fix this mess. If you're thinking about moving to the Fairfax, make sure to ask for all legal and financial documents right away so you're not blindsided like I was. If you can tolerate the ineffective staff and you enjoy being social, you may enjoy it here. Just remember to bring a whole lot of patience.

"Larger than expected. Entry deposit not ideal for seniors."
This place is bigger than what we wanted. And, they ask for a deposit when we're older, which isn't great.
