"New, Helpful Community but Covid Impacted Older Facility"

The community is new and the staff is very helpful. We took virtual tours, and [name removed] liked the layout of [removed] apartment better. It was more convenient for both my daughter-in-law and me, as it's kind of in the middle of where we live. After deciding, someone I know mentioned that his mom was at Avemere. Since Covid, things have changed there, and he wasn't too happy about it.

"Lost Ring, Unconcerned Staff"

My aunt lost her 2-carat diamond ring at Avamere. It was her wedding ring from her late husband of 65 years. Sadly, nobody at Avamere seems to care. I suspect it's been found, but we'll never see it again.

"Friendly caregivers and great ways to connect with residents"

I've lived here for many years in the assisted living apartments. I really enjoy working with the young caregivers; they are all very nice. I also like interacting with the other residents. I even took on the role of "paperboy" and delivered all the newspapers, which is a great way to meet everyone.

"The Assisted Living Facility: A Mixed Bag"

We always say that if we could move, we'd do it tomorrow. The food is just terrible, and the residents are all quite old, which means there isn't much going on. You have to find things to do on your own. The meals aren't appealing; they look like blobs of who-knows-what. It's monotonous, and the taste is far from good. We often leave a lot of food on our plates, and we've noticed others doing the same. As for our apartment, I can't complain. It's a 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom unit with a small balcony. There's enough space for our TV, which is nice. Maintenance requests get addressed, although sometimes you have to wait a bit. They don't offer many amenities, but there's a bus available. Once a week, if you're quick, you can sign up for an hour-long scenic drive with about 12 people but that's about it.

"Good Experience Overall, But Food Quality Needs Improvement"

We are pretty happy with Avamere at Wenatchee. We chose it because friends told us good things about it, and it looked clean and nice. The location is great, very close, so I can get there quickly if she needs me. She has been complaining about the food lately. It was good at first, but now it’s not as good. I would recommend it to others looking for a place.

"Navigating Assisted Living: A Bit Confusing"

They offer various enjoyable activities, but navigating the facility takes time. A map or orientation would be helpful.

"Top choice for independent and assisted living with great food"

This is the top place for both independent and assisted living around here. The staff has been wonderful to work with. There might be some delays in the dining room because of staffing issues, but the food tastes amazing.

"Great help, friendly residents, needs better communication"

They are always ready to help, even the managers. They handled the COVID-19 pandemic really well. Communication about resident updates could be better. I'm very happy here; it's the right place for me now. They always answer my questions. The residents are friendly.

"Great place but food often arrives cold; staff is friendly"

My mom really likes the caregivers here, and the office staff is nice. The food tastes good, but it often arrives cold. The place is well-kept, though they could use more staff. We’ve told our friends about Avamere.
