"Neighbors moved me here without my knowledge or consent"
I was brought here by neighbors who didn't want me living alone. I didn't know this was happening.

"Happy and independent, feels good and well-treated here"
It's been okay here. The people are similar to other places I've lived. Since I'm pretty independent, everyone gives me space. I'm happy and feel good here.

I thought I'd leave in a few months, but I loved it so much that I stayed. I’ve never felt lonely, and I always look forward to each day.

"Declining Quality Over Time"
I've been living here for 7 years. It's not as nice as it was when I first came. The food used to be tastier. They offer many activities, but I don't attend all of them.

"Great Assisted Living with Personal Space and Emotional Support"
I've lived here for almost four years. My apartment always feels like my own personal space. They take care of my emotional and physical needs. In an assisted living place, it’s really important to feel like yourself. At Brookdale, I do.

"Safe Haven Amidst COVID"
We moved in just before COVID started. We had to stay inside a lot because of COVID precautions. But thankfully, we never caught COVID!

"Caring staff and supportive facility meet residents' diverse needs"
The staff here are very skilled, dedicated, and caring. They interact warmly with residents and show concern for each other. People with memory loss need extra personal help, clear guidelines, and activities that fit their needs. The facility is set up to provide this support.

"Small, inconvenient space, lacking amenities; not recommended for families."
Our family visited Brookdale but didn't like it. The studio apartment was tiny and hard to get around. No kitchenette, and the layout was confusing. We wouldn't suggest it.

"Good location and staff; Medicaid accepted, but communication issues"
We chose Brookdale Everett because they accept Medicaid, the location is convenient, and I liked the room the best. The staff felt like a small family, and they weren’t pushy. The room sizes are very good; she has a one-bedroom apartment that suits her needs. Mom has been a bit frustrated with getting staff to follow her requests and feels her messages aren't always heard. But when I get involved, things get resolved quickly. I would recommend them to others.

"Excellent"
I’ve been staying at Brookdale for a few months now, and I really like my cozy studio apartment. The staff here are amazing, especially the sales manager, who has been super helpful. The other residents are friendly too. The place is always clean, and the food is pretty good. The only issue is that sometimes they run out of food or serve something different from what’s on the menu. Overall, though, Brookdale is great, and I’d recommend it to others.

"Excellent care."
It's a great community, and everyone—residents and staff alike—seems really happy. They take good care of Mom and are quick to respond to her needs. The only issue she mentioned recently is that the food hasn't been very good. Maybe they have a new chef?

"Avoid Brookdale: Poor Supervision and Overcharging"
Each section of Brookdale Everett is completely unsatisfactory! My mom has tripped and fallen two times past 5pm because there's no one looking after her. One evening I was there and couldn't find a single staff member in the whole place, and I had to dial 911 by myself. They also made me pay way too much! I'm really unhappy with Brookdale.

"Parents Struggling to Adjust, but Content with Facility"
I'm having a hard time getting my parents used to living in this community, but the problem lies with them, not the community. The facility is actually pretty nice and spotless. The caregivers are wonderful and I feel safe leaving my parents in their hands. Most of my trouble comes from my parents, not the community. Working with 'A Place for Mom' was an easy experience.

"Avoid this Place: Problems with Rules and Poor Record Keeping"
This place was entirely focused on memory care. My friend ended up in a large space packed with activities. However, the report they released about her was pretty negative, and that's made her transition to a new home complex. They were supposed to send over her doctor's evaluation before she moved, but turns out the doctor whose signature is on her records doesn't have any record of her. There were tons of contradictions between what they were saying and what they actually documented. Plus, they were breaking rules left and right, and making us pay for stuff they weren't even providing. We had some major problems with the chief nurse. I'd suggest avoiding this place.

"Convenient move-in, wish for 4-wheel cart for ease."
The move-in experience was really good overall. It would've been even better if they had a 4-wheel cart to help move our stuff in.

"Thorough Tour with Friendly Guide!"
The lady who showed me around at Seabrook was really nice. She'd been working there for a long time. The tour was so detailed that I didn't need a long one at Silver Lake. Seabrook seems a bit nicer than Silver Lake, and their living room is really big. But, it's located on a super busy street.

"Helpful Staff and a Few Concerns"
I really liked this place. The staff seemed very helpful. Out of all the places I visited, I'd rank this one as number three. The only downside was the distance my father would have to walk from his room to the dining room due to his mobility issues. But overall, he liked the place.

"Visited 5/23: $3,600 one-bedroom, Dirty carpets, Crowded entryway"
Visited the place on 5/23. The one-bedroom option was $3,600. The carpets were dirty and needed cleaning, and the entrance was crowded because it was also being used for activities.
