"Good Rooms and Nurse, Lacks Outdoor and Common Areas"
The rooms are big and the lead nurse is awesome, but there's hardly any outdoor spaces and the shared spaces are kinda small.

"Pleasant Staff, Good Eatery, Needs More Workers & Fun Activities"
The folks who work here are really nice. The place where we eat is also pretty cool. But they really need to come up with more exciting things to do. We could use more music and some mini trips to exciting places. There's not enough people working here, so sometimes they can't help everyone who needs it. They should figure out how to support those who need extra help.

"Thumbs Up for This Assisted Living!"
Mom says the food is a bit plain. She wishes there were more activities. But overall, things are going well as she settles in. I recommend this assisted living community.

"Attentive and professional staff made husband comfortable during short stay."
My husband stayed at Brookdale in Kirkland, and all the workers were really nice and tried hard to help him. They made sure he had everything he needed and wanted, and they made him feel good during his time there. I think this place is great and I would tell others to check it out.

"Brookdale of Kirkland Shows True Care for Its Residents"
We’ve had a loved one living here for two years, and it’s been a great experience. This place is very caring and perfect for elderly family members. The staff is understanding, enthusiastic, and well-trained. Earline, the director, is very hands-on and knows every resident personally. Margaret and the nursing team are fantastic. Our one-bedroom suite is spacious, and any maintenance issues are quickly fixed. The lobby is always bright and cheerful with music playing. There are lots of different activities, and they even ask residents for their opinions through surveys. They also hold regular meetings about the food service. Overall, Brookdale of Kirkland truly cares about its residents.

"Avoid This Understaffed Facility"
I wouldn't tell anyone to go here. The food is okay, but not great. The people who look after the residents are good, but there aren't enough of them. It seems like they don't want to spend more cash to hire more caregivers. The maintenance guy is the only one and he's too busy. He gets told not to work extra hours. That doesn't make much sense since he's the only repair guy. I've had trouble with getting things fixed. I can be left waiting for a long time for stuff to be repaired.

"Inviting Space, Slow Service, Yet Mom's Content"
The moment we step into this assisted living place, it feels welcoming and cozy. They announce a schedule of fun activities, but the sad part is, no one really takes part in them, so they end up being cancelled. Based on my observations, it feels like they make big promises about what they're going to provide but then struggle to meet them. The staff seems to be spread too thin and it takes a long time for things to be done. For instance, it took them over a month just to get Mom's room ready. I think it would help if they were clearer about what residents and their families should really expect. Still, I have to say, Mom seems quite happy here and she's definitely receiving better care than what she's had before, and at the same cost.

"Assisted Living Facility Lacks Care and Decent Food"
I really can't suggest anyone to go to this place. The food is so awful, half the time you can't even tell what you're eating. The people living there are always sad. They don't even celebrate Holidays. There are not enough workers to properly care for everyone. Folks who need wheelchairs have to sit for hours waiting for help.

"6/27/14 Visited Once, Decent But Not Top Choice Yet"
6/27/14 Last year, I visited this place and it was decent. It didn’t stand out as 'the one', though. I am still considering it, but I also want to see other places before possibly returning.
