The nurses and staff know a lot and are kind. The rooms are super nice. But meals could be better, and we had to keep talking to everyone to make sure things stayed the same.

"Serious Medication Error Leads to Poor Experience at The Gardens"
Most of the people working there were nice, but something really bad happened with the medicine given to my mom. Instead of giving it as needed, the person in charge (not a nurse, no registered nurse there) gave my mom morphine every hour for 8 hours straight. This made my mom's breathing slow down a lot to just 6 breaths per minute. Nobody took responsibility for this mistake or said sorry. I wouldn't suggest The Gardens to anyone looking for a place for their loved one.

"Good place with friendly staff; maintenance and cleaning issues"
Overall, it’s a good place. My mom really likes it. The people are very friendly and helpful. They’re slow to fix things, and the cleaning is just okay. The food is good, according to my mom.

I came here excited, but the first week was disappointing. The food was cold and tasteless, and the service was a nightmare. The chef is nice, but needs new recipes. Lots of complaints.

"Disappointing Care for Dementia - Unreliable Staff Turnover"
This place doesn't have the right staff for dementia patients with behavior issues. I picked it because the building looked nice. They said the staff had been there for a long time, but soon after my loved one moved in, the boss left. A new boss came and fired everyone, bringing in new people. I don't think my loved one got the care they needed. I wouldn't tell other families to choose this place.

"Great staff and clean community, but location didn’t fit"
The staff did a great job during my tour and answered all my questions. The community was clean and had a lot to offer. However, the location wasn’t right for me.

This community looked nice and clean when we visited. They have a pretty courtyard and garden. This place was a bit more expensive than we wanted.

The staff here are very nice. They pay attention and are kind to the residents. The place is clean and well-kept. So far, we’ve had a good experience with Brookdale and haven’t had any big problems.
