"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living"
The community is friendly, food mostly good, but some downsides. Medicine administration is consistent, but staff shortages affect tasks. Housecleaning service falls short of promises. Escort service to meals isn’t always reliable, and meal service is extremely slow. Our parents have waited an hour for a meal, which we’ve directly observed.

"COVID-19 affects meal options and pricing; average overall"
My loved one's meal options are limited due to COVID-19 lockdown. There was a price increase due to COVID-19 complications. Overall, it's average.

"Senior Care Facility Neglected Basic Needs, Contributed to Health Decline"
My mother-in-law went to Brookdale Monroe for extra help. They said she needed it. We took her there on Monday. But when my sister-in-law looked in on Friday, she hadn't eaten, showered, or even gotten up. Food was left on the counter, untouched. Brookdale thought she could do everything on her own. They didn't tell us she wasn't eating or moving. We had to move her out on Saturday. She was thirsty and confused. We're upset about how they treated her. It made her health worse.

"Great location, good meals, and friendly atmosphere despite recent cases"
The community was easy to visit and we enjoyed meals there before COVID. We always felt welcome. They had a good plan for COVID, though there have been a few cases recently. I recommend this community. I really like its location and that it’s only two floors. They also have a beautiful outdoor area. The meals are well-portioned and served restaurant-style. There’s even a salad bar.

"Friendly staff, nice apartment, but dining could be better"
The staff were friendly and helpful. The dining staff could improve, and the food was okay but not amazing. Her apartment was nice, and they let her decorate it however she wanted. The grounds were beautiful, and the building was always clean and pretty.

"Review: High Cost and Untrained Staff at Assisted Living Facility"
Too expensive, with some unqualified employees. Problems with the management.

"Friendly staff and good lunch despite ongoing renovations"
The staff were really friendly and helpful. It was a rainy day during our visit, so we didn’t get to check out the grounds much, but there seemed to be a lot of places to walk. That’s a good thing since the facility is next to a busy highway, which wouldn’t be pleasant for walking. When we visited, Brookdale Monroe was undergoing major renovations, which affected the inside of the building and the usual activities for the residents. Because of this, I can’t really comment on their normal activities. However, we did have a good lunch.

"Senior Care Facility Fails to Maintain Standards, Struggles with Ownership"
My mom liked this place at first, but after 1-1/2 years, we had to move her out. The owners changed three times in that short period. They only cared about raising the rent, not about taking good care of seniors. Other residents were talking about the same problems. The staff they hired were not as good as before. They didn't clean the apartments well, and their attitudes were bad. Also, there weren't many different activities for seniors.

"Good Food, Activities Don't Suit Interests: 4 Stars"
Overall, we are very happy with Emeritus. The activities don't seem to interest my loved one, and he's having trouble getting involved. But the food is excellent, and we would definitely give it a 5.

A Place For Mom Customer
"Good facilities, but small apartments and new medical location"
Visited on Nov 9. I had taken Mom there before. The place has many good qualities. There’s been a change in medical providers; now all medical care will be in Everett instead of with Dr. and NW Hospital. Pricing is affordable. The 1 BR apartment is too small, but the 2 BR is good.
