"Kind Staff, But Strict Rules and High Costs"
The staff is kind, caring, and thoughtful. They have rules that they always follow, even if they can't always explain them well. If you can afford it, I would recommend staying there. However, I couldn't stay because it costs too much.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living"
My mom's been here since 2019. She likes her place and activities, but I've had some problems with the care plan, meds, and bills. Overall, we're content.

"Assisted Living Facility Falls Short on Staff, Cleanliness, and Food"
This place had trouble keeping enough staff. The apartments didn't get cleaned, and the food got really bad when new management took over. Sometimes the staff were rude. I'm not sure about the activities because my mother-in-law stopped going. If I could choose, I would have moved her out before six months. Lots of people were leaving the facility.

"Significant improvements needed in all aspects."
This place is really bad. Avoid it. They should better handle help with living, medicine control, and almost everything to do with the community.

"Needs Improvement in Staffing and Service"
The assisted living facility experience is okay, but there are issues. During tours, they promise the sun and moon, but when we need help, it takes up to 20 minutes to respond. Staff shortages are a problem, and meals are just okay. Our nana misses out on activities due to lack of staff communication. The value doesn't match the cost.

"Mixed Impressions at North Point Village"
Our family visited North Point Village in person, and we found the community pleasant. However, the rooms were very small, and there were only four bathrooms per building. Our loved one might have gotten lost trying to find hers.

"Room for Improvement in Assisted Living Facility"
The assisted living facility isn't as organized as I hoped. Some services we pay for aren't happening as they should, and communication issues have caused problems. There's also confusion with medications. However, the staff is friendly and doing their best. Overall, they need to improve, but we're hopeful for the future.

"Needs Better Planning for New Residents"
We’d tell other families to consider North Point Village, but they really need to step up their game in some parts. Moving in was a total mess, what with all the mix-ups in scheduling and them dropping the ball by not telling us about all the paperwork that had to be done way sooner. They gotta get their act together and make the whole starting-out routine a lot smoother.

"Possible Oversized, Overcrowded For Mom"
I visited Brookdale to find a place for my mom. It's definitely a good place, but it seemed too large and always full of people. I think my mom would like a smaller place with a more cozy feel better. I worried she'd get confused and lost in something as big as Brookdale.

"Okay Facility, But Needs More Energy and Better Food"
The place was alright. It was tidy, and the staff were nice. But, it had more of a nursing home feel to it. The meals seemed pretty bland. We're hoping to find a livelier and more energetic place for my dad and his wife.

"Large Community!"
I visited this community, and I don’t have any complaints. The staff were super friendly and gave my loved one lots of great info about everything they offer. The facility was well-maintained, and the apartments were clean for all the residents. It’s a big community, but we wanted something smaller for my mom.

"Inconsistent pricing and size made Brookdale less appealing."
When I visited Brookdale, it seemed like they offer the lowest price to attract you, but then it increases. You have to pay for everything separately. The only positive thing I got from the visit was a list of moving companies. I did find that helpful. However, the facility was too big; it would be hard for my loved one to get to the dining room from the available rooms.

My mom and I had a nice tour of this community. The staff were super friendly and shared lots of helpful info about their facility. Everything looked well-maintained and clean for the residents. The spacious common and dining room area seemed comfortable. The only downside was that it's a multilevel complex.

"Comfortable Living with Friendly Staff"
I visited this place. It seemed smaller than what my dad wanted. They didn't show us the memory care unit during the tour. But I did appreciate the staff; they answered all our questions. They have activities for everyone who can join. Families might appreciate the care they give here.

"Facility Fails to Deliver Promised Care, Major Letdown"
My family chose the cottages for my aunt because we were impressed during the tour and thought it would be suitable for her advancing dementia. We were introduced to the Clairbridge program, advertised on the Brookdale.com website, promising six daily activities. However, this simply doesn't happen. Residents are commonly seen idle in the common area or their rooms. The website also declares that all caregivers are trained in the Clairbridge program, but the ones we interacted with weren't. Caregivers appear strained, and frequently only one is present when two are mandated. This isn't only disappointing, but risky as well. I've noticed that the facility has faced multiple state level complaints. Sadly, the administration doesn't seem clued in on these matters. The nursing staff also seems ill-equipped to care for memory patients. I suggest thorough research before selecting this facility.

"Impressive Tour, But Terrible Living Conditions At Brookdale"
We had a family member in need of memory care services. After conducting a tour at Brookdale, we were initially impressed. The cottages looked great and we were told each would be staffed by two caregivers serving 12 residents. They shared a schedule of daily activities including BBQs in the secured courtyard and flower gardening, among other things. Ultimately, we decided to move our relative in. Unfortunately, the reality was far from what had been promised. Often, we found only one staff member allocated to each cottage. This means that when one resident needed assistance, the others were neglected. It was evident that these caregivers were stretched too thin, having to provide physical care such as showers and resident transfers, in addition to doing laundry and preparing meals. This workload seemed impossible for just one person to handle. Furthermore, the workers often had to pull double shifts, frequently alone. Messages to the facility administrator went unanswered. Life-saving pull cords were non-functional. As we later discovered, several complaints have been made to the state about these issues. I strongly urge you to spend meaningful time at this facility before deciding to put a loved one's care in their hands.

"Promises Broken and Neglect Rampant at Brookdale Facility"
My family member lives at Brookdale. Everything seemed great when we took the tour before they moved in, especially the cottages designed for memory care. We were promised two caregivers for 12 residents at all times. There was also talk about lots of activities, summer barbeques, and even some outdoor fun. Everything sounded perfect. But things changed once my relative moved in. None of the activities on the calendar actually happened, except for singing once a month. The residents just sat in their chairs all day. Often, there's just one caregiver for 12 residents. So, if one resident needs help, everyone else is out of luck! The staff lacks proper training, and that can lead to dangerous situations. Plus, a lot of the residents are just being neglected! Many safety features, like pull cords, are broken too. The staff is overworked, sometimes working double shifts, which leaves them super tired. The facility's administrator never returns calls. Think really hard before you let someone you love live here. Spend some time here, and don't believe everything you hear on the tour. My family member will be moving out of here soon.

"Facility's Quality Declining: Consider Moving Loved Ones elsewhere."
My family member lives here, but within the last six months, things have gotten worse. There's been around 3 or 4 different people in charge and the one they have now isn't nice. Neither is the person in charge of billing. It looks like they're trying to save by serving less meat at meal times and the food isn't good at all. It seems like they're laying off employees and not properly training the ones they keep. I feel like this place is getting worse and I'm considering moving my family member somewhere else. It just isn't like it used to be.

"Brookdale Provided Excellent Care"
Brookdale did a great job. We never worried about cleanliness or the staff. They were quick to help and really attentive. My loved one got hurt and needed more care than we thought, so Brookdale wasn't the best fit. But that wasn't because of them—they were awesome!

"Well-trained staff, mom is happy and safe here!"
I think they are well-trained to work with both clients and families, helping to understand how to handle the disease. They know when to call me if mom is having a hard time. Mom is happy there and is in a safe, good place.

"Assisted Living Facility Drops in Quality and Communication"
Some staff members are nice, while others are not so friendly. The food isn't great, possibly due to the cooking method, and they sometimes run out of items like ketchup, syrup, and even ribs. The serving sizes are quite small. It's difficult to communicate with the marketing director regarding these issues. Their initial attentiveness was what attracted us, in addition to the nice location and the big tubs. The heating and cooling system doesn't work well and hasn't been repaired. The quality of care is not up to standard, and the staff could use more training. We've had problems with the billing as well. According to rumors, the management changed about six months ago, and ever since, things have declined. Some issues might be just due to the nature of assisted living, not the facility per se. The lack of communication was annoying. For instance, we didn't know we would need items like toilet paper and shower curtains. We even asked about these, and they initially said we wouldn't need them.

""Unimpressive Assisted Living: Prioritize Profits Over Care""
The assisted living center is now under Brookdale management, and it's not cool. It looks like all they care about is making money. My parent lived here for years, but we had to leave. Too many mistakes in the bill, not enough caregivers, and the workers are stressed out. This makes the place risky. State inspectors have visited a few times. Make sure you do thorough research before deciding to move in.

"Expensive Facility With A Slow Response Time"
We really drained our wallets at this place. During our time here, there was a change in management. The food took a nosedive for sure, but I guess it was alright. The care team was simply too slow, and we had to start exploring other options. This place is clearly for folks with deep pockets.

"New owners, poor management ruin once-excellent facility."
This place used to be great under the old managers, but ever since the new owners took over last spring, it's been going downhill. There's a clear lack of leaders who know what they're doing, and it's hard to reach anyone to talk about problems. No one ever calls back and promises aren't kept. The staff keeps changing and there aren't enough people to take care of everything. Still, a few great staffers have stuck around. There've been mistakes with medications and the higher-ups aren't doing anything about local problems. They used to have a simple rate based on the level of care needed, but now they charge for every little thing the staff does, leading to much higher care costs. Plus, the cost of housing always goes up every year.

"Modern, nice rooms, and great staff—food could improve!"
We looked at this place a lot before moving Mom here. She says she likes it a lot, and the caregivers are very nice. The facility has great apartment-style assisted living rooms with nice view windows. It looks modern and up-to-date. The staff is outstanding in my opinion. Every resident has a call button, and the staff respond quickly. The front desk staff is observant and knows each resident by name. Elaine, the activities director, is excellent. There have been some ownership and leadership changes, but they haven’t affected the quality of care. The dining room is nice, though the chef’s training could be improved a bit.

"Inadequate Spaces, Lack of Kitchens, Dirty Columns. Not for Mom."
The living spaces are tiny, counting the two bedroom ones. There's only one large bathroom, with no secondary option. You won't find any kitchens either. The entrance pillars are grimy. This place isn't going to work for my mom.
