"Community Neglects Communication and Stages of Care"
Once you're inside, they seem to forget about you. They don't communicate with families at all. We chose this community because it offers independent living, assisted living, and memory care.

"Misleading Sales, Lack of Medical Staff: Caution at Assisted Living"
Make sure to do your research before choosing this assisted living facility. My mom was only there for less than a day when I discovered they don't have enough trained medical staff. They might promise you one thing to get you in, but then they start charging extra for services, even though they claim to have evaluated the resident's medical needs beforehand. And when my mom had to go to the hospital after less than a month there, they said she couldn't come back, yet they're still holding onto the community fee.

"Expensive Brookdale Understaffed, Neglects Hygiene, Upcharges for Extra Care"
Brookdale's costs are sky-high, and they don't have enough staff. Because they're short-handed, they can't keep the residents and their clothes clean. They've shown that in memory care, they only want residents who don't need much help. They don't want to take residents for walks if they have sundowners. If your loved one is seen as too much trouble, the head person might say you need a babysitter there all day and night, and they'll charge you a lot of money for it. Your family member deserves better, and should be in a place where there are more caregivers for each resident.

"Costly Facility, Average Care"
They’re looking after someone I care about. It costs a lot, but the help we get doesn’t really match up with what we pay. They can’t seem to keep their staff for long, and they often have empty spots they’re trying to fill. To put it simply, it’s alright.

"Moderately Priced Assisted Living with Good Staff Communication and Amenities"
This place is nice. Brookdale Park Place has moderate prices. The staff communicates well with families. They serve three meals daily, offering resident choices. Housekeeping isn't included in units. Apartments have small full kitchens. Communal washers and dryers are available in hallways.

"Assisted Living Review: Beautiful Facility with Caring Staff, Staffing Challenges Persist"
It's a nice place, very pretty. The staff really care about us. They're friendly and kind. But there aren't enough of them. You have to speak up for your loved one, like most places, because they're short-staffed. Also, because of this, they don't always have enough people to help residents who need it at meal times. The apartment is great, with a lovely view. She has a little patio and sees wildlife.

"Clean Facility, But Oversized Memory Care"
Our visit to Brookdale Park Place went well. The facility was clean and pleasant. However, the memory care unit seemed too big for my family member.

"Nice tour, older building, needs memory care"
We had a really nice tour at Brookdale Park Place. It's not their fault, but the building is older. We wanted a place made for memory care residents because they need different layouts and things.

"Friendly staff and great value at Brookdale Park Place"
Everyone at Brookdale Park Place is super friendly. Every time we visit, the staff and other residents always say hi and have big smiles on their faces. What really impressed us at first was the overall value and the activities. Even though our loved one doesn't join in the activities, what they offer is good. Based on our experience with Brookdale Park Place, we would definitely recommend them to other families.

"Unreliable services and invasive behaviour at this senior facility"
Steer clear! They’re understaffed, forgetful about serving meals, and their cleaning services are inconsistent. Laundry services are unreliable and often lose linens. Even worse, there’s hardly any nursing care — even the substitute nurse lives quite far. They never even bother to check health stats. We've tried talking to the person in charge multiple times, but there has been no improvement. The worst part? Our apartment was entered during the night, someone made their way into the bedroom and then left. We didn't feel comfortable at all in our own living space.

"Friendly staff, but activities and grounds need improvement"
The staff here are super friendly, kind, and always ready to help. Since COVID, a lot of activities have slowed down, and the community and surrounding grounds need some upkeep and improvements.
