"Assisted Living Enjoyable, Dementia Patients Need Extra Help"
The people in assisted living will like the community and place. Those with dementia who aren’t ready for memory care yet will need help from family and the facility to adjust.

"Not Ideal for Recommendation"
It was a smaller place with fewer memory care residents. I probably wouldn't recommend it to others.

"Unsecured Entry, Unpleasant Environment"
My family visited Cogir of Vancouver. I didn't like the unlocked front door. The memory care area was ugly, not welcoming, like an asylum.

"Poor management, unmet promises, and unenjoyable activities."
I wouldn't recommend this place for loved ones. The tour seemed great, but promises weren't kept after moving in. No staff during hospital visits. Aides were nice, but management was horrible. We pulled our loved one out due to a bad experience.

"Almost Chose This Place, But Went Elsewhere"
I checked out this place and my loved one almost moved in, but she picked another spot instead.

"Outdated Facility, Unprofessional Director."
This place was old-fashioned and not very nice. The person who showed us around wasn't ready and didn't act very grown-up. It wasn't a very good experience.

"Cogir Review Summary"
I'd tell anyone considering Cogir: think it through. We'd choose differently now. Our family members have different health needs—one struggling, the other not needing much care. Looking back, we'd find a way for them to be together outside the facility. It's not Cogir's fault; it's just that she doesn't want her husband to pass away there. Overall, Cogir is okay. Staff are helpful, but watch out for costs—they can go up when care changes. They're a business, like any other. Good owners, though.

"Clean, Safe, and Great Food"
The community is very clean, and they have done a great job keeping it that way to fight COVID. The food is really good, and we can eat with our loved one in her room. They have started activities again, and there’s a daily list of things to do. They offer different levels of care, including independent, assisted, and memory care. I like the layout and feel safe here. I would recommend this community to others.

"Caring Staff in Convenient Location, Few Activities in Memory Care"
Our experience has been positive. The community is well-placed. The staff are excellent and take great care of our family member. They are in the memory care unit, so there aren't many activities, but we are satisfied with what is offered.

"Mixed Experience at Cogir of Vancouver"
We picked Cogir of Vancouver because the sales manager was fantastic. He explained everything clearly and worked with us. The room sizes were great, especially the 2-bedroom option. The food was really good, and they took COVID precautions seriously. However, communication could have been better. Overall, I'm on the fence about recommending it.
