"Disappointing Assisted Living Experience; Subpar Care for Parent's Needs"
We had to find a place for my parent with memory issues. We looked around and liked this place. But things went downhill fast. The day after moving in, we found my parent in bed at noon, still in pajamas from the night before, all wet. Then we found their food untouched but with meds hidden in it. And on day three, they were in bed again, covered in feces. The care isn't worth the money we pay. Really unhappy. I need more space to say how much I dislike it.

"Cascade: Clean, Caring, and Improving"
Great food and a spotless community. My wife stayed there for four days and had a fall, which was concerning. She spent 13 days in the hospital and 20 days in rehab. Now that she's been back at Cascade for two weeks, things are improving. She chose Cascade herself after checking out five places. They're also installing a fall monitoring system due to her recent fall.

"Great care, friendly staff, but front desk needs improvement"
My loved one lives at Cascade Valley. The meal options are good, and the housekeeping is top-notch. Most people are very friendly. However, the lady at the front desk can be unfriendly and sometimes rude. Besides that, the help we’ve received has been excellent, who first met with us, is incredibly helpful and friendly!

"Friendly staff and small size make Cascade Valley a good choice"
We chose Cascade Valley because it’s smaller, the staff are friendly, and it’s near my home. The room sizes are okay. I think they should improve the wifi. They said it’s being worked on when I mentioned it.

"Small Community, Friendly Staff"
We took a virtual tour of this community. The tour went well, and the staff was friendly and helpful. However, we found the community too small for our needs.

"Concerns Remain Despite Recent Improvements"
According to a DSHS report, there were serious problems here, like letting unlicensed people give meds. They say they fixed it in 2020 and changed a lot of staff, but I still worry. The new staff seem nice, but I'm not sure I want my parent here because of the past problems and the fact that staff keeps changing. We saw issues here back in 2017 too.

"Helpful Staff at Assisted Living Facilities; Chose Cascade Valley"
All the folks were really supportive. They presented a lot of alternatives. They assisted me and my sibling in making a decision. We landed on Cascade Valley Senior Care in Arlington. Thank you.

"Lack of Care"
Most days, things are positive when I visit. But today, my husband was left alone in his room without being cleaned up during the program. .

"Caring Staff, Fun Activities, Room for Improvement"
The workers are nice, they help and care about us. Everybody seemed to like the ice cream party. Some folks think the food could be better. Also, I think visitors and residents should always have WIFI.

"Great place! Friendly and helpful staff."
We were looking for a place for my 97-year-old mom and checked out several before choosing this one. I liked it because it’s smaller, with about 70 people. The staff is super friendly and helpful. We put my mom here for a 3-week stay, hoping she would like it enough to stay longer. At first, she was hesitant, but by the second week, she adjusted and is now doing great. Her mood has improved, and she is happy and content. She loves the staff and other residents. She smokes and has to go outside, but they gave her a necklace with a button to press if she needs help. She used to complain about being sick at home, but not here. She has gone on many outings for lunch or shopping on their bus. We couldn’t have picked a better place. The staff is super friendly, and I can call anytime to check on her.

"Worst Care Experience Ever at Assisted Living Facility"
Terrible Service, Extremely Dissatisfied. They give big promises but deliver nothing. Worst care I've ever experienced. You'd get better care leaving your relative on the street with a homeless person.

"Mixed Experience"
I took a fantastic tour of this community, and the staff was super friendly. They shared lots of helpful information with my mom and me, and they patiently answered all our questions. However, there was a strong, unpleasant odor throughout the building. Unfortunately, I didn't feel it was the right fit for my mother.

"Avoid! Mismanagement and Rude Staff, Unsafe for Loved Ones"
This place is just one letdown after another. They've gone through massive changes in their staff and management team. Now, they have a boss [Removed], who just avoids the problems with deception and false promises, but there's no actual improvement. Is in charge of the section for people with memory issues and she is so disrespectful to both the patients and their families. She's not even a licensed nurse! She's a medical aide without any official training for memory care. [Removed] raises her voice and upsets the patients. This isn't a secure environment for your loved one. I wouldn't even trust them to look after my dog.

"A Seamless Transition"
We moved Mom to Cascade Valley (CV) because her previous dementia unit didn't accept Medicaid, and we thought we might need it in the next few years. The move wasn't as traumatic as we expected. She'd been at the old place for over 5 years and was well-known by the staff. Surprisingly, she adjusted seamlessly to the new environment and now seems happy attending activities, if not always participating. Most of the staff go out of their way to help her and meet our expectations, but a few ignore us during visits. We're very satisfied with the facility, the cleanliness of her room, and the fact that we never see dirty laundry there. Plus, there's no extra charge for changes in care level; you pay based on room size. This helps us plan for the future. While the food options aren't always suitable for dementia residents, they're working on it. I'd comfortably recommend Cascade Valley to others.

"Caring Assisted Living with Great Activities, Improving Services"
In 2015, my parents moved to Cascade Valley Senior Living, their third facility in a year. We chose it because my father needed memory care, while my mother didn't. They each had their own room but could still visit and eat together whenever they wanted. The military discount was a nice bonus, and it wasn't any more expensive than the previous facility where they shared one room. Sadly, my father has since passed away. The caregivers in both sections were and are so kind and caring. The activities program in Assisted Living is wonderful and just what my mom needs. There are lots of group activities every day, like exercises, bingo, modified bowling, crafts, anagrams, and cookie baking every Monday, just to name a few. Plus, there's happy hour every Friday! They also have regular church services and Bible studies conducted by outside churches. Occasionally, there's entertainment from outside. And for those interested, there are regular outings for shopping, dining, and scenic drives in the facility bus. The facility is currently updating the decor, finding a new director, and hiring some new caregivers. My review is based on our experience so far. There were a few bumps in the road at the beginning, but things smoothed out once communication improved. I'm so happy that my mom is enjoying her time and making new friends.

"Warm and Caring Atmosphere with Great Staff and Activities"
Our first impression was great. Everyone, from the residents to the staff, seemed happy and friendly. After moving our mother in, we're still very impressed. The staff is attentive, positive, and really cares about the residents. The facility is clean, the food is delicious, and Mom loves the activities. She looks and feels better than she has in a long time. Mom seems more excited about life than she has in months. I would definitely recommend Cascade Valley Senior Living to anyone looking for a safe, friendly, and caring place for their loved one.

"Need More Staff to Assist"
They need to do better at taking care of the residents. We've visited a few times, and my loved one has ended up on the floor without anyone noticing. Yesterday, he didn't have his teeth in until the afternoon, so he had breakfast without them. The staff is friendly, but they could use more help.
