"Horrible experience: neglect, filth, and neglecting care needs."
My family member lived at this place, and it was awful. They didn't take care of my family member properly. They didn't clean their room, and my family member wasn't bathed when needed. When my family member needed help, they ignored them because they thought they asked too much. It was really bad.

"Assisted Living Nightmare: Poor Care, Lost Belongings, Increased Rates"
The old management did okay, but now it's bad. Care Partners is the worst. There aren't enough nurses, and the ones there are work too hard. My dad hasn't had a bath in weeks, smells like pee, and sometimes they leave him alone during meals. Most of his clothes are gone. It's normal to lose some things in a big group, but it's really bad here. They're charging more money, but the care is getting worse.

"Caring staff, needs better staff-to-patient ratio"
My mom stayed at Laurel Glen for 3 years and had the most caring caretakers we could have hoped for. It's under new management now, but they are keeping the same caretakers. They need to improve the staff-to-patient ratio, but they are working on it.

"Friendly staff, good place, but needs better organization and communication"
The people at Laurel Glen are really friendly, and it’s a great place for my dad. I do wish the staff were more organized and talked to each other better. But I think this might be a common issue in these kinds of places. Overall, I would suggest Laurel Glen at Bremerton to others.

"Great place with available rooms and budget-friendly options"
We chose this place because they had a room available and it fit our budget. My mom is happy here. I would suggest this place to other families.

"Mixed Feelings About Laurel Glen Assisted Living"
Laurel Glen wasn't right for Mom. It was too large with too many floors, and we worried she might get lost. Plus, it needed updates, and the outdoor space was small.

"Excellent staff and care, minor cleanliness issues due to renovations"
We rate the cleanliness 4 stars because they are doing some renovations, so it's hard to keep everything perfectly tidy. The staff gets 5 stars! They are amazing! The care services also get 4 stars, but our loved one has severe short-term memory loss, and we understand it’s tough to remind her of things all the time. We’ve only had one meal there, but it was good. The staff were thoughtful and brought dinner to my husband and me while we were setting up our loved one’s room since we hadn’t had time to eat all day. Our loved one has also mentioned that she likes the food. She’s very active and loves interacting with people and going on outings. As for value, compared to other assisted living places, Laurel Glen is reasonably priced. What really stands out is how the staff interacts with both the residents and their families they’re very accommodating and compassionate. I would definitely recommend this facility and have already done so.

"Unpleasant First Impression Great Staff, Not What We Wanted"
We visited Laurel Glen and it seemed awful at first. The people working there were really nice, and if the place was like them, it'd be good. But they said there's new management taking over, so things are changing a lot and getting more expensive. We picked a different place because Laurel Glen wasn't what we wanted.

"Friendly Staff, Adjustments, and Monitoring at Laurel Glen"
The nice marketing director at Laurel Glen went out of her way to help my mom settle in. The staff were all friendly. Once my mom got used to it, she really liked living here. They didn't seem to monitor as closely as her previous facility, but I understand they're short-staffed.

"Great rating, affordable option, good experience despite limited exposure"
We picked Claremont because it offers a great rating and allows my parents to stay even if their money runs out. The rooms are decent; they’re in two single rooms with a door between them. We haven't been here outside of COVID times, so I don’t have a lot of opinions yet. Overall, it’s been a good experience and I would recommend it.

"Warm, Open, and Friendly Community"
This is a really great place. All the staff members are involved with the residents, and the residents were all busy. When I talked to the residents, they gave me nothing but good feedback and were all so friendly. When I first walked in, everyone was sitting in the open lobby with sunlight streaming in, and they were all chatting with each other. It felt so open, warm, and friendly. The only reason I didn't choose this community was because it was too far away and too expensive for my mom. I would recommend this place.

"Decent Assisted Living Facility with Good Amenities"
The visit to this place went smoothly. Staff were punctual and answered all our questions thoroughly. I appreciated the variety of room choices and amenities for residents. The layout was easy to understand, and common areas were roomy. However, it didn't suit our location preference.

"Not Our Favorite!"
We didn't really like Claremont East. The place needs a makeover, and it just felt too much like a nursing home. It wasn't the best match for my family.

"Safe and Welcoming"
My mom's mind is okay, but she needs help with her body. We couldn't take care of her at home anymore. Claremont has everything she needs. The staff is nice and answered our questions. Each floor has a dining room with menu choices. They also have fun things to do and a hair salon. We wanted a safe place for my mom, and Claremont fits our budget.

"Poor Caretaker Assignment and Neglected Showers"
At first, I was optimistic about this community. The staff seemed attentive and receptive to our needs. However, since we've settled in, my perspective has shifted drastically. Despite our explicit request for a female caretaker for my mother, they continue to assign male caretakers. We've asked these gentlemen to stay outside the room if my mom needs assistance, but alas, our requests seem to fall on deaf ears. Additionally, they've neglected to arrange her necessary showers. This led to a sad situation where my dad had to step in to help her shower, resulting in her unfortunate fall. To say I am disappointed with this community would be an understatement.

"Lori’s help made Claremont a top choice for us!"
Lori was amazing. She made us feel welcome and comfortable. She answered all our questions and gave extra suggestions for our needs. The staff is really friendly. The facility is older but very clean, and they’re always updating it. We’re still looking for a place, but Claremont is definitely one of our top choices!

"Mom Thriving, Some Hiccups: Assisted Living Review"
My mom is doing really well here. She knows all the staff, who are nice. We had a meeting about some help we needed, but it hasn't happened yet. They're trying to fix it. No big problems though. Mom has made friends with a few ladies but isn't into activities. The place is clean. I like the food, but Mom doesn't. She's picky. I'd recommend this place, but with some doubts.

"So Glad We Found the Perfect Place"
I helped my friend find a place because she needed support. I reached out to A Place For Mom, and I'm so glad I did. They made everything so easy, and Claremont East has turned out to be just right for her! There are lots of activities she can join, and she enjoys the food. She can even cook her own meals if she wants. Claremont East feels cozy and welcoming, not like a typical institution. The staff has been really helpful and informative. I’m thrilled for my friend.

"Great staff, but food could be better. Not organic."
The review suggests that the food might not be the best choice based on senior reviews, as it is not organic. However, it highlights that the staff is very friendly and helpful.

"Mixed First-Time Experience At Assisted Living Facility"
I'd never tried this before and wasn't sure what to expect. We didn't really check out the activities, so I can't rate those. I do think some of the nurses could be better at checking on patients when something goes wrong. I mainly picked this place because they were quick to evaluate, and made the admission process simple.

"Assisted living facility with 95 apts, 4-story building and good food"
This place has 95 apartments spread across 4 floors, and they'll be adding a 1-bedroom option next week that's 772 square feet for $3000 plus an $800 charge for first-level care. Each shift has 4 caregivers along with a nurse and a med tech, and they maintain a ratio of 1 staff member for every 10 residents who need assistance, totaling around 40 people. They provide pendants, and according to J, the food here is very good.
