"Great Value and Extra Experiences!"

The whole experience with A Place for Mom was super helpful! I chose it because of the great value, especially for meals. The location also adds extra experiences, especially for independent residents.

""Edmonds Landing Struggles with Staff Shortage and Care Decline""

Certainly! Here's the rewritten review in an 8th-grade level tone: Good: Edmonds Landing is in a super cool spot right downtown. You can walk to restaurants, coffee shops, the beach, and the senior center. They even spruced up the halls and furniture to make everything look brighter. Bad: But, here's the scoop: Edmonds Landing has gone through three managers in less than a year. They've been cutting corners on the budget, changing staff, and paying their workers peanuts. That's led to not enough staff, especially for folks who need extra care. Residents have fallen and hit the call button, but it takes forever to get help. One poor resident waited two hours after calling for assistance. And the rooms? Not getting cleaned like they're supposed to. The staff is stressed out and stretched thin. Edmonds Landing needs to hire more people

"Good care, great food, many activities, mask rules disliked"

I don't like their mask rules, but they take good care of my loved one. There are lots of activities to do. The food is really good and made by chefs. Overall, I would recommend Edmonds Landing to others.

"Great care and activities, but communication with families needs improvement"

The staff here, from top to bottom, is incredibly kind and caring. They genuinely care about my loved one and her integration into the community. Despite the challenges posed by Covid and lockdowns, they've worked hard to create opportunities for her to meet other residents. Recent months have seen an increase in activities, including crafts, bingo, and parties, though I'm not sure if it's a weekly or monthly drink special. The facilities are always spotless, with excellent cleaning staff. The food is good; my loved one enjoyed it at first, but after several months, it’s not quite like home cooking. Moving into assisted living during quarantine has been tricky, and we're looking forward to her fully experiencing what was intended. The main issue has been communication. The staff communicates well with residents, but since my loved one has memory issues, it’s hard for me to get updates. There isn’t a solid system for keeping families informed, although they do send periodic texts. When there’s an issue, it’s challenging to figure out who to contact and how to follow up. More communication with families would be helpful.

"Friendly and Elegant Assisted Living Facility"

I highly recommend this place to other families. The staff is amazing. They take great care of my mom and everyone else. The atmosphere is friendly, relaxing, and comfortable. They just finished painting the inside, so it looks even nicer now. It’s very elegant. The facility is well-maintained, neat, and clean. My mom’s place is cozy and has a similar layout to her old condo, which she likes. There’s always something to do here. They have yoga, walking groups, puzzle tables, and even a beauty salon. There’s a 24-hour bistro where you can get snacks and coffee. They also offer transportation services for appointments or errands. Outside, there are several pretty courtyards with benches, and it’s a short walk to Edmond’s Gazebo. Overall, it’s a very homey place with kind people around all the time.

"All Taken Care of: A Positive Experience"

For me, since I moved in, it’s been really good. Everything is positive, and I like it a lot. They take care of everything—meals, cleaning, and social events. A guy even played the bagpipes for us. Overall, they’re the best. I’ve already recommended the community to others.
