"Compassionate Care for Families"

My parents haven't joined community activities much or eaten in the dining room due to my dad's health. They'd have a better experience if they moved in earlier. The staff works hard to meet my dad's healthcare needs. We chose Morning Star because they let my parents live together, even though my dad is in assisted living and on hospice. Morning Star also lets residents stay until the end of life. Lastly, we picked it because it's close to my dad's doctors.

"Much better care and meals than our previous facility"

This place is a big upgrade from where my loved one was before. The care staff and meals are way better, and it's making a big difference for my loved one. Residents get to choose their meals, and the staff keeps in touch with the family well. Overall, it’s a lot better than our last place.

"Short-staffed but clean, safe, and full of activities"

My only problem was that they were short-staffed. The food was good, but since they didn’t have enough staff, my dad didn’t always get hot meals. They do have a lot of activities like outings, movie nights, game nights, and even Christmas performers. It is pricey, but the place is very clean, safe, and has many activities.

"Comfortable Living at MorningStar"

MorningStar at Silver Lake is a great place to live if you can't be at home. The apartments are spacious and lovely.

"Assisted living disappoints; Garden Court's quality declined."

Be cautious. Food unhealthy, cleanliness lacking, rules arbitrary, rents increasing.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living"

When my mom moved here in March 2018, we loved the staff, food, and amenities. But lately, things have changed. Food quality dropped, fewer wait staff, and noisy night maintenance. It’s still the best in South Everett, but not like before.

"Budget-Friendly Concerns"

We checked out this place, it looked good. But, it's far from Mom's doctors and hospital. Too pricey for us. Still, super clean and friendly staff.

"Almost Our 2nd Choice"

This place would've been our second pick. The staff showed us around the community, and they were super friendly and knew a lot. But we worried about the limited amenities—only two meals and paying for laundry services. Still, it was super clean and nice there.

"Amazing staff, great food, feels like a resort!"

The staff and place are amazing! There are so many activities, and the activities director LOVES her job. This isn't just a retirement center; it's like a pleasure resort with fantastic food. They really protect their residents and don't nickel and dime them. This is where I would want to live. The owner often visits, which is great. The price is similar to other places, but this one has style and elegance. I was looking for my 71-year-old aunt and narrowed it down to this place and another one. I was surprised she chose the other one, but she hasn't committed yet. I still don't know her future, but I'm not writing this place off. She wants to see other options and talk to her financial advisor. This is about her quality of living. I hope she decides this is where she wants to be. I would recommend it to anyone.

"Impressive Tour and Care for Future Residents at Garden Court"

We showed up unexpectedly one morning and were given a tour by Dora Rice. She showed us different types of rooms and all the facilities available to residents. Ms. Rice was a great guide and very helpful. We had a nice chat with a resident over a free lunch and then met with Jane Meyers-Brown, the Marketing Director. We talked about our plans and the options for future residents. We were very impressed with everyone we met and the condition of the facility. We’re seriously thinking about moving in when we’re ready. Based on our visit, we plan to learn more about Garden Court. Our experience shows they treat potential residents excellently.

"Garden Court Exceeded Expectations with Excellent Service"

After checking out thirteen retirement homes in December, we moved into Garden Court on February 1. Garden Court has met all our expectations and even exceeded them a bit. They really do a great job.

"Absolutely Amazing Experience"

They are amazing. I have no complaints at all. Everything is great—the food, the people, the atmosphere. It’s like a dream come true. They even give you hugs if you want them. I can’t say enough good things.

"Big and Active with Great Programs, Clean and Friendly"

I thought this place was great, but I didn't bring my dad to check it out because I worried he might get lost. It’s a huge facility with lots of activities and cool arts and crafts programs. However, I didn't think my dad could manage the big building. Everything was clean, and everyone seemed cheerful. I’d definitely recommend this place.

"Washer/Dryer, Meals Included, Some Downsides"

The unit has a washer and dryer, which is really convenient. They also offer linen and towel service. You get two meals a day with set eating times. Dinner is from 4:30 to 6:00. The room view isn’t great, but the raised beds are nice. It’s privately owned.
