"Assisted Living Experience Falls Short of Expectations"
I put my friend here. At first, everyone was nice. But things changed when I took my 97-year-old friend to breakfast. They said it was inconvenient to get him ready by 9:00 because they had 2 others to take care of. They suggested I take him to lunch instead, even though he prefers breakfast at the casino buffet. On our way back, we stopped at Walmart so he could get a pillow for his chair. They said he didn't need it because he had enough pillows. They also convinced him to give up his favorite down comforter, saying he didn't need it. But later, he asked his son to bring it back. I've worked in the medical field for years and I've seen happy places, like a group home with 7 residents. During our conversation, the staff kept reminding me that this is their private home and they have their own lives. Maybe they're just burned out?

""Unfulfilling Choice for Friend's Assisted Living Needs""
I chose this place for my buddy. They seemed really nice at first, but it all changed when I tried to take my 97-year-old friend out for breakfast. They told me it wasn't easy to get him ready by 09:00 because they had two others to look after. They suggested I take him to lunch instead. But he prefers breakfast buffets at the casino, not lunch. On our way back, we stopped at Walmart because he wanted a pillow for his chair. They later told me it was unnecessary since he already had plenty of pillows. They even discouraged him from using his favorite down comforter. They said they had enough blankets and that he told them he felt too hot. He ended up having his son bring it back. I've been in the medical field for a long time and worked at a group home with 7 residents. It was a pleasant environment. A few times during our conversation, they mentioned that they live there privately and have their own lives to live. Do they feel overwhelmed? Possibly.
