From the moment we walked into LaFountaine, it felt warm and welcoming. My dad and I urgently needed a place for Mom that would give her the genuine care, love, and dignity she deserved. Mom had been at another facility where we saw terrible care, not just for her but for other residents too. After visiting LaFountaine and meeting Kristina and the caregivers, we felt sure this was a better fit. We moved Mom the very next day, and now, three weeks later, it was the best decision we could have made. The staff is so caring, and even some of Mom’s incontinence issues have improved because they help her promptly instead of waiting for accidents. Mom’s room feels like a cozy bedroom in a family home, not a big, impersonal institution. Dad visits Mom every day at different times, and her care has been consistently good. Three weeks might not seem long for a full review, but we knew within a week that the other place wasn’t right. We just wish we had known about LaFountaine sooner.
