"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Tour"
Our family visited an assisted living facility in person, but our loved one found it old and somewhat depressing. It felt more like a hospital than a home. The tour was good, but it might be a better fit for someone less mobile and needing more assistance.

"Great updates and food; caring staff make it feel homey"
facility has been updated and changed its name from Anderson to Laurel Cove. The recent improvements are great, especially the food, which is really good. The new Dietary Director is friendly and helpful, going the extra mile to ensure residents are happy. Mom has special dietary needs, and they always meet them. Their parties are very fun, and the food is always excellent. My family never misses Thanksgiving or Christmas dinners here, and some of my cousins even drive 3 hours to join us! The Director of Nursing is also kind. Sometimes there are small issues with staff, but [name removed] quickly addresses them. I understand these issues are common everywhere. [Name removed] seems to be a skilled nurse who genuinely cares. The rest of the staff is friendly and caring, and most have worked there for a long time. I’ve recommended this place to many people, and my family loves it. We all appreciate its "homey

"Mixed feelings about Anderson Community for assisted living"
The updated Anderson Community for assisted living is really nice (5 stars). The apartments are like where Mom lives now. There are two family homes for adults on site, they're okay. Home #2 is better. Only two people live there now. While the smaller group gives better care, the rooms are a bit small. Mom might need more socializing, even though she can join activities in the new part.
