"Homey, caring facility but meals affected by staff changes"

Overall, it was a good experience. This place felt more homey and caring compared to other facilities, and it's smaller, which made it less overwhelming for my Dad. However, they’re having a lot of staff changes, especially in the kitchen. This seems to be a common problem in the industry, but it's impacting the quality of the meals right now.

"Great Tour, Location Not Ideal"

We took a tour of Normandy Park Assisted Living. The tour was fantastic, but sadly, the location didn’t work for us.

"Assisted Living Facility Needs Major Improvement"

The staff turnover makes it hard to connect with them. Food quality is terrible, especially considering the cost. Limited activities, small activity room, and poor communication. Needs significant improvement.

"Disappointing Experience at Assisted Living Facility"

Our family member stayed there, but felt alone. She ate alone, no fun stuff, and mean staff. We don't suggest it. Food was gross, had to chase staff, and too pricey.

"Good tour but location made it unsuitable for our family"

We visited this assisted living facility in person and had a good experience overall. However, the location was really important to us, so in the end, this community wasn't the right fit for our loved one.

"Highly Recommended Assisted Living Facility"

He receives excellent care here, and it’s the best place I’ve seen. The food is tasty, and they offer a variety of snacks. The staff communicates well and keeps me informed. The setup is great for residents to interact. I highly recommend this facility.

"Staffing Issues Affect Service but Facility is Clean"

The director recently resigned, and while she hasn’t explained why, I think it might be due to issues with how the facility is managed. There’s been a staff shortage, and workers have mentioned that they’re doing overtime several times a week because there aren’t enough people to help out. Sometimes, meals delivered to rooms are missed. Response times to emergency calls after about 5:30 PM are quite slow, often taking 45 minutes to an hour. I believe this should be the time when response is quickest since calls at night usually mean something is wrong. On a positive note, things are starting to improve. The hairdresser reopened her shop last week, and everyone is pleased to get their hair done again. The facility is clean, and I haven’t seen anything that would make me uncomfortable. They clean the apartments once a week and take out the trash daily. However, they could improve on cleaning window tracks and similar areas, which can be hard to open. Overall, it’s pretty good.

"Great location, decent food, nice outdoor area"

This is a really nice place to live. It's in a great location, close enough to walk to restaurants, shopping, and other places. They also have a bus to take you around. The food is okay, not amazing but decent. There's a nice area out back with a fountain for residents. They keep the outside looking good, with lots of places to walk a pet. They do try to meet residents' requests.

"Nice place, but needs more exercise equipment for a gym feel"

This place seems nice to live in. It would be great to have more exercise equipment and a gym-like area. [Name removed] is very involved and caring. We’re definitely thinking about choosing Solstice for our mom.

"Nice Place, But Location Not Ideal"

When we toured, there weren’t many people around. The residents we saw were in the lobby, not talking, and it seemed like they were just sitting there. But we found out it was empty because most of the residents were at a Mariners game. The staff was super nice and the landscaping outside was beautiful. Inside was clean and the rooms they showed us were really nice too. They were studios, but they were big and bright. It was definitely a place we could see Mom living in, but the location just wasn’t ideal.
