"Needs Better Meals"
The place is tidy, and the staff is super friendly. Communication is okay, but the meals need serious improvement. During my first month, I felt nauseated and vomited most of the time. Now, I hardly eat the government-subsidized meals. Still figuring things out.

"Affordable, But Outdated Assisted Living"
The place was kind of old and seemed like it could use some fixing up. They didn't have air conditioning either. But it did cost less than the other places we checked out.

"Mixed Feelings About Care at Olympics West"
I kind of like Olympics West. We asked the staff to help our loved one get out of bed and open their blinds. But it doesn’t seem to help them get to the dining room to eat or get out of bed.

"Great staff and safe visits at Olympics West Retirement Inn"
I’ve been really impressed with the staff at Olympics West Retirement Inn. They’re doing a great job handling the pandemic. They’ve been working closely with the state health department and have made sure to allow some activities while keeping everything safe. They’ve gone out of their way to create a safe space so families can visit their loved ones. They’ve set up outdoor tables with Plexiglas screens for these visits. The staff is very helpful and keeps us well-informed, especially during these tough times. I’d definitely recommend this place.

"Lack of Room Details Dampens Facility Tour"
The place and apartments are pretty good. But when I asked for the room sizes or the total space of the apartments, my tour guide didn’t know. Even the company’s website didn’t list this info. Not having this key info really put me off.

"Cozy and Clean Assisted Living"
This place is nice. My folks would like it. It's tidy and cozy, but the dining room needed cleaning after lunch.

"Perfect Balance of Independence and Assistance"
My mom’s condition got worse, so we had to move her from independent living to assisted living. She needed more help than independent living could give. When we found this place, it seemed really good. They take great care of my mom. They are so patient and helpful. This place is a perfect fit for her. They go above and beyond my expectations. My mom recently fell, and the staff was right there with a wheelchair. For the next week, they helped her into a wheelchair, brought her downstairs for meals, and made sure she was okay to walk when she was ready. I love that this place is a good mix of independent and assisted living. They’re there when you need them, and if you don’t, you can walk around and go about your day. I highly recommend this community.

"Great Assisted Living Find with Helpful Service and Perfect Location"
I had a really good experience with from A Place for Mom. She was very helpful and didn’t push me towards any specific place. Instead, she gave me several options that matched my father’s needs well. Thanks to "A Place for Mom," we found a fantastic place for my dad called Olympics West in Tumwater, WA, right near my sister’s house. This location makes it easier for her to visit him often and spend quality time with him, rather than dealing with chores like yard work and dishes. I live all the way in San Diego, so having my dad at Olympics West, where the staff is friendly and supportive, really gives me peace of mind. He’s already making new friends and getting more exercise. And by the way, A Place for Mom is not just for moms!
