"Nice Assisted Living Option with Good Location and Layout"
This is a great place and I would recommend it. I chose this community because of its location, price, layout, and the people.

"Great place with happy staff, highly recommended by a friend"
Parkview Estates is a really good place, and my friends [names removed] like it a lot. I’d rate it 9 out of 10 for everything and would suggest it to anyone who wants a nice home with friendly staff.

"Mixed Feelings with Great Potential"
This place really suited my mom when I first visited. The atmosphere and decorations felt just right for her. She's quite happy living here and really enjoys it. Her only complaint is about the food—it's just okay. I've eaten here a few times with her, and I can't say I've ever had an excellent meal. Sometimes the rice and other things are undercooked, and the flavors aren't strong. I really hope they can make it better. Besides that, it's a nice spot. They have an awesome library and offer lots of fun things to do. The maintenance crew is super helpful, and the staff, in general, is really nice. They do have a gym, but most of the equipment seems broken. Mom's room is big and looks great. It's a bit of a drive for us to visit, but it's perfect for her, so it's worth it. I'd suggest this place to family and friends, though I'd mention the food could use some work.

"Comfortable Assisted Living with Supportive Staff and Varied Activities"
The staff at this place are really nice and easy to talk to. Whenever my parent had any issues, they fixed them right away. Their apartment is spacious and well organized. The bathrooms are easy to use, which my parents appreciate. The food has a good variety, but it tastes more like what you get in a cafeteria than home-cooked meals. My parents would like it more if the food was a bit more creative. They have a lot of activities planned when Covid isn't a problem, which is nice.

"Nice facility with friendly staff but limited dietary options"
Parkview Estates is a lovely place. When we visited, everything was clean, the people in the hallways were smiling, and it felt like a fancy hotel. The staff are really friendly, and the residents are welcoming. They had just finished a 5 or 6-week shutdown due to a COVID outbreak. They handled it well, but it was tough for my mom. The food looks nice, but she said they don’t do a great job with dietary restrictions.

"Great Virtual Tour and Communication"
We had a virtual tour of the place, and even though it was online, we got a good sense of it. The staff communicated well.

"Friendly Staff and Pet-Friendly Living at Parkview Estates"
Parkview Estates is super clean, and the staff is really nice. The food is great, especially since they have to cook for so many people. They are very helpful and will even bring food to your room if you want. They have some fun activities; today we played 5 cent bingo. There's a nice lady who does my laundry, so they offer that service if you need it. They also let me bring my cat when I moved in, and other residents have dogs too.

"Serious Concerns Over Parkview Estates Care Quality, Dad's Experience"
My Dad stayed at Parkview Estates in March after rehab. Parkview seemed like a decent place at first. The administrators were welcoming, the environment was pleasing, and the rooms were okay. Dad enjoyed the food and had access to on-site physiotherapy. The caregivers were mostly good. However, things changed once we paid. The friendly administrators became less accommodating. We had to supervise Dad's medication because the Pharmacy technicians didn't seem well-trained. Initially, they had said Dad could be taken to either of the local hospitals if needed, but that didn't happen. They also lied about response times. They claimed to respond within 5 minutes, but it usually took them 15 to 20 minutes. They would just switch off the distress call lights and promise to return later. Dad once needed to use the restroom and was told to soil himself because they were busy. His stay ended in a choking situation where he pulled the emergency cord and it took over half an hour for help to arrive. By then, he had stopped breathing and had to be revived. He went to the hospital, but passed away after 10 days. Before his death, he narrated his experience with Parkview. He asked us not to blame the floor staff, but the management. If he survived, he didn't want to return to Parkview due to their poor services. I regret taking my Dad to Parkview. I hope this review helps others make a more informed decision.
