"Elderly Care Disappointment"
I chose this place because it was affordable. They promised a lot but didn't follow through. If you have a loved one there, you need to be there every day to make sure things are okay. But if they need help with daily tasks, this isn't the right place. They have to be able to take care of themselves. I was told hospice would be available, but when I needed it, they couldn't help. I've lost faith in these care facilities. It seems like all they care about is money from elderly people. I wouldn't recommend any of them, no matter how much you pay.

"Welcoming Assisted Living with Communication Challenges"
Super friendly place! My mom loves the activities and the welcoming residents. Some communication hiccups caused med mix-ups initially. No 24/7 RN availability poses challenges for extra care.

"Great staff, but they declined my dad based on records"
Prestige Senior Living Monticello Park was nice, and the staff were friendly. However, my dad has complex medical needs, and the RNs there thought he might need more care than they could provide. They suggested he might be better off in a Skilled Nursing facility instead. The odd part is they never even met my dad; they just looked at his medical records. So it wasn’t really a choice I made they basically told me they couldn't help.

"Friendly Staff, Mixed Food"
A nice place to stay with kind and supportive staff. Unfortunately, the food hasn't been great lately due to Covid.

"Assisted Living Tour Felt Like Nursing Home, Too Expensive"
During the tour, it felt more like a nursing home to us, and the cost was too high.

"Good, but Not My Top Choice"
This place was good, but not as great as my top pick. My first choice just had too many things that stood out.

"Good Food and Activities Effort, Fair Value in Assisted Living"
I tried some of the food during my visit and found it pretty good. The meals looked high-quality and were served in generous portions. They tried to organize activities, but unfortunately, our loved one couldn't join due to health reasons. Overall, we felt the price we paid was fair for what we received.

"Dining and Activities Impacted by COVID"
There are some things I don't like, but I think it's because of COVID. I believe it will change after the pandemic. Independent living and assisted living used to share the same dining room, but that stopped for a bit. The community is starting to open the dining room again for small groups. They still don't mix assisted living and independent communities. There aren't good choices for residents with special diets. The community has gone through a few cooks, and sometimes the food arrives late. I hope this improves after COVID. The activities were great when my loved one first started, but COVID has canceled a lot of them.

"Unsatisfied with Care at Monticello Park"
My mom resided at Monticello Park in Longview for a brief period, under a month, before sadly passing away at the end of July. The facility itself was visually appealing, but I was greatly dissatisfied with the care she received during her stay.

"Welcoming Assisted Living Community"
They're really friendly to families. They make sure residents' families feel welcome. The staff is super helpful, understanding, and tries to solve any issues we've had. We picked this community because it's affordable and centrally located in town. I'd definitely recommend it to other families.

"Hidden Fees and Charges Disappoint Residents"
Watch out for what you agree to! We weren't warned about extra fees for small tasks like reminders or cleaning. Even advertised services, like transportation, cost more.
