"Assisted Living Facility Review: Mixed Experience with Ups and Downs"
My family member faced issues when moving in. The water only ran hot, not cold, and it took weeks to fix. The cable was also broken for about a month. She spent quarantine without TV until they provided a DVD player, which was thoughtful. She doesn't need much daily help, but they do assist if she falls. The food isn't good, but they're open to suggestions and have made positive changes. Due to Covid, there haven't been any activities. Cleanliness is lacking, with dog feces in the halls. The staff is friendly and helpful. The old manager was replaced after delays in fixing issues. However, when the elevator broke, it took two weeks to repair, which was hard on my loved one with mobility issues.

"Unfriendly Management and Dirty Conditions Overshadow Nice Staff"
The staff was nice, but the place wasn't clean at all. It had a musty smell. The food was okay to eat. Worst of all, the management was terrible.

"Redmond Heights Senior Living was a good fit, in our case, and saved us a ton of money"
My mom lived at Redmond Heights Senior Living for three years until she recently passed away. She spent most of her time in bed or a wheelchair due to a broken hip and her age. The staff there were really good—always friendly and helpful. They were especially excellent during my mom's last week as her health declined. We saved a lot of money by moving her from another well-known assisted living place three years ago. That other place was nice, but my mom didn't care much about the fancy surroundings or activities, so we felt like we were wasting money. Redmond Heights Senior Living was a good fit for her during these last three years.

"Warm and caring senior living experience"
Our first impression of Redmond Heights Senior Living was the warm welcome and friendliness of all the staff. The rooms were cozy and super clean. We were looking for a smaller place for my dad, as he was moving from an Adult Family Home. The next day, we came back for lunch, and my dad was impressed with the food, staff, and how they were willing to meet his special needs. He had trouble hearing, a special diet, and other assistance requirements. Redmond Heights really is an "Assisted Living facility" that helps people stay independent for as long as possible. It was important to my dad to have a chapel for prayer and weekly Catholic communion, and they provided that. They encouraged him to join in weekly outings, movie nights, and daily activities. My father got pneumonia, was in the hospital for 8 days, and came back. Unfortunately, he didn’t fully recover and passed away peacefully in his sleep 9 days later. He was 93, and Redmond Heights treated him like royalty in his final days. From start to finish, the staff treated him and our family like one of their own. My sisters and I will continue visiting the other residents there, as they have become part of our family too.

"Great Service and Clean Facility with Many In-House Services"
It was fantastic to work with. The facility might look old, but it’s very clean and the staff is professional. Don’t judge by appearance. It’s bright and cheerful. I love that they offer many services all in one place.

""Absolutely terrible elderly care at this facility""
My granny stayed here for over a year and in the last few months, the care was just terrible. They didn't keep her room clean, numerous times she had to wait for up to 20 minutes for help. The staff turnover was high and there were never enough people working. The food was just awful. Please don't put anyone you know here.

I’m really pleased with the care my mom is getting here. They keep everything clean. My mom's apartment is just right for her and even includes housekeeping. The meals are good; I’ve tried them myself. There are lots of activities to keep her engaged, which is nice.

Overall, our time at Redmond Heights Senior Living has been good. I checked out a lot of memory care places nearby, and this one really stood out. The place is clean and well-kept, set up nicely, and the rooms are beautiful. We’ve had a few problems, but the staff is quick to help and fix things.

"Classy, well-kept place with friendly staff and great amenities."
My mother lived at Aljoya for over 3 years. The staff and the environment were excellent. It was a classy and well-maintained place to live. The staff knew everyone's name, including mine. I highly recommend Aljoya. The food was great, and there was a pool and Jacuzzi to enjoy. Parking was also very easy.

"Amazing Community with Exceptional Care and Support"
Redmond Heights was amazing. I'd give their friendliness a five plus! Everyone was really nice and paid close attention. Everything went smoothly before my mom passed away. The place is a bit older, but we liked it and were happy with it. The staff really helped her eat more since she wasn’t eating much when she arrived. They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed.

"Helpful Staff, but Assessment Could Improve"
Redmond Heights Senior Living could get better in one area: when they assessed my mom before she moved in, they could have paid a bit more attention. Later on, the main caregiver seemed surprised by some of the problems, even though she was there for the initial assessment. But overall, the experience has been very good. The staff is super helpful and friendly. Taking care of seniors is tough because they can be set in their ways, but the staff does an excellent job!

"New Owners Ruin previously Loved Assisted Living Facility"
Don't trust older reviews of this facility. The original owners aren't there anymore and it's way worse now. We had our family member, who is no longer alive, living at Redmond Heights (used to be Cascade) for over two years. We were super happy with the place when we first moved her in. But after the new owners took charge, we saw the place go downhill real fast. They lost their full-time nurse for memory care and getting one became super tough. In her last few days, we felt she was utterly ignored by the nursing staff. She seemed in distress and we think she was in major discomfort. We suspected an infection, but getting her checked out was treated like a big hassle. After convincing the nurse, she had to get a doctor’s go-ahead – though none were on-site. This back-and-forth lasted for two days. Finally, they agreed to do the test. That evening, we got a call saying she was taken to the hospital because she was 'distressed’. She was shifted to Hospice later that night and passed away early the next morning, still in pain. We later discovered that the care staff had kept asking the nurse to call 911 and us, but that didn't happen until evening. The pain of her last days haunts us. The caregivers and aids are top-class and genuinely caring, but there's no doubt that they're struggling due to staff cuts. We were super let down by how far the facility dropped after the change in ownership. Since our pleas to the management were ignored, we warn you to not trust old reviews. Learn from our story and do your due diligence. We were wrongly charged for a full month's rent even though we had cleared out the room by the 7th or 8th of the month. While it may look good from outside, the reality is a different story now.

"Grandmother is happier, thanks to caring staff and great food!"
Moving my grandmother here was tough at first because she really didn't want to move. When we arrived, she refused to go in. But the director and some staff members were great and helped us through it. After a month, I’m so happy to say she's the happiest I’ve seen her in years. She's making friends and joining in on activities. The staff feels like family—they’re all loving and supportive. The food is really good with lots of options. I even plan my visits around lunchtime just to eat with her! She has a small dog she couldn’t leave behind, and the staff has gone above and beyond to make sure even her dog feels welcome and at home. I HIGHLY recommend this caring place.

"Wonderful Care and Comfort at Redmond Heights Senior Living!"
I had to find an assisted living home for my 96-year-old mom after she was in the hospital and couldn’t come back to live with us. With just a week to find a place, Redmond Heights made everything so easy! Their pricing is clear and very reasonable, which is great because it means her savings will last longer. They quickly helped her visit and showed her around, and made her move comfortable by giving her a furnished apartment to start with while we moved her stuff in later. I was really impressed by how friendly and easy to talk to the staff was from the beginning. Our whole family loves the cozy yet elegant feel of the place, and her apartment is a nice, spacious room. She’s getting excellent care and has improved a lot since moving in! They have nurses on duty and several doctors who visit regularly. The food tastes homemade and is wonderful, and there are plenty of activities for her to enjoy. My mom is very happy! We’re thrilled knowing she’s safe and has lots to enjoy, from great food to making friends and staying busy.

"Highly recommended for Memory Care and Assisted Living"
Our father lived in an Independent Living facility in Woodinville. It was a nice place, but as his memory got worse, we realized he needed more secure care. He moved into the Memory Unit at Cascade Plaza, which had just been remodeled. It didn’t feel or smell like an "Old Folks Home." The staff was kind, respectful, and caring. When the Ensign Group bought Cascade Plaza, they made it even better with improvements and staff training. We were nervous at first, but the staff was amazing, and we were very happy with the switch from Cascade Plaza to Redmond Heights. We would recommend Redmond Heights to anyone. While we didn’t use the Assisted Living area, we saw that it was also well-staffed and cared for. We are thankful to Redmond Heights and its great staff for giving Dad an exceptional end-of-life experience.

My grandfather moved in a month ago and is so happy. The daily activities are great! He has made lots of friends. The staff are caring, kind, and friendly. Everyone is welcoming to both my grandfather and our family. We join him for bingo and musical shows. They also do ladies' nails on weekends, have senior outings, a book club, a news group, a happy hour on Fridays, and a movie every night. There’s always something for everyone. Redmond Heights has been a fantastic experience. We’re really glad we found it!
