"Improvement Noted, Friendly Staff, Room for Better Daily Care"
Things are improving at this facility. My loved one gets their medications regularly, and the doctor is happy with the progress. I would like to see them keep up with daily care and housekeeping. The friendliness of the staff can vary. From what I've heard from other friends and family, the people who give my loved one their meds are very nice. My loved one also goes to the dining area regularly, and there are activities and a schedule of what's happening.

"Great Care and Cleanliness with Tasty Meals and Extra Costs"
This has been a positive experience for my loved one and our family. The caregivers are great, and the cost is reasonable for the care and meals, although there are some extra charges from the community. The community is very clean and always smells nice. The meals are good. Residents get three meals a day. Lunch is the biggest meal and usually served hot, while dinner is a smaller hot meal. Sometimes they serve sandwiches or chicken pot pie. There is also dessert with dinner.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
This place is better than some others we checked out, but I'm not totally sold. The food is kind of plain and sugary. They promised more variety, but it's not there. Staff changes a lot and aren't always dependable. We feel like we were oversold, so we're moving our loved one out. They did help us on short notice, which was nice. But we still feel like the staff isn't as attentive as they said. My loved one struggles to speak up for himself, which makes things harder. The place is pretty clean and has a friendly vibe. They're good at that. They've kept us in the loop with communication. I'd suggest chatting with other residents and staff, not just the tour guide. That might have helped us more.

"Spring Creek: Good, but Missing a Pool!"
It really depends on your situation. They don't seem to accommodate dietary needs. I initially wanted to stay there long-term, but I found a much better and cheaper place. At Spring Creek, they offer nice apartments—I got one with the storage I needed. The cleanliness matters to me, and they kept things well-maintained. The activities and apartments were good, but I do wish they had a swimming pool!

"Great facility with helpful staff, but didn’t meet all needs"
I think this place is really good. My loved one was in assisted living here, and they did their best to help him with everything he needed. Unfortunately, this facility didn’t quite meet all of his needs. They always answered my questions and helped train me whenever I needed it.

"Unsatisfactory Assisted Living Service Costs $7,000 and Broken Arm"
Money Grabbing Assisted Living Facility Lacks Care and Honesty" This place is awful. They tricked us into reserving a room by saying another family was interested. We had to start paying a month early and even paid an extra community fee to secure the room. Even their nurse said they could take care of our mom. Short story short, mom was there for barely a week before she fell and broke her arm since they took forever to attend to her. They went back on their word about the transport bus not able to take her to her doctor's appointments. In the end, the receptionist had to drive her. The nurse kept pestering her to have her kids take her to the doctor - that's their job, not ours! They made us pay before they did the care evaluation, even though they promised a refund if they couldn’t care for her. After we paid, naturally they said she would be fine. There were times when she was sick and couldn't go down for food – but they either forgot to bring her food or brought her low-quality meals too late. They lied about their response times and didn’t call back when I asked for proof. In conclusion, mom left with a broken arm, and we're out $7,000 for less than two weeks of poor care. They are clearly understaffed. Also, after she left for the hospital due to her broken arm, a flu outbreak happened so we had no choice but to keep her at a different Medicare recovery house.

I really liked the whole place when I visited and met the staff. Four stars because my dad didn’t get to live there.

"Nice facility with great amenities but high fees and no Medicaid"
This is a really nice place with a well-designed apartment. The bathroom is the best I've seen. However, the costs related to the level of care might need more explanation. Safety is a top priority here, and everything is easy to use. Parking could be a problem, and Medicaid isn't an option. The menus and activities are great and well communicated. The entrance fee is high, but the variety of amenities is good. Worth a second look.

"They Exceeded All Our Expectations and More"
My mom’s move has been great. She really loves it here. The staff are doing an amazing job taking care of her and going above and beyond what we expected. She’s also getting involved in the community. Plus, this place is the closest one to us.

"Great Place for Parents with Fun Activities"
We moved our parents into Spring Creek about a month ago. Their 2-bedroom apartment is really nice. There are always fun activities going on. It’s very clean, and people say the food is great. We highly recommend it!

"A Welcoming Home for Mom"
We moved my mom to Spring Creek a little over a week ago. It was a tough decision, but we're happy to see she's settling in well. It's hard taking her out of her longtime home. The staff at Spring Creek have been super helpful in making her feel welcome and comfy. Mom enjoys the food and says everyone is really nice. Overall, we're really happy with how things are going. The staff are friendly and helpful, which makes a big difference for Mom and for us. They're quick to answer our questions and fix any problems, which helps us feel less worried.

"Potential Unmet by Spring Creek Amidst Unprofessional Staff and Poor Supervision"
The mealtime service at this facility is painfully slow and downright odd - I saw one server even being rude to an older lady he was serving at the next table. Expect to wait an hour just to get noticed, and the food isn't worth the wait. Mealtime is a highlight for many of the seniors here, and they deserve much better. There's another facility just down the street that might give Spring Creek a run for their money - maybe that will prompt some improvements. Some new faces on the staff and a few safeguards to prevent mistreatment could go a long way. It's really tough for my family to see the way things are when we visit. The staff lacks proper certification and even the head nurse isn't a CNA. Spring Creek could be a great place, but personnel and supervision woes are dragging it down. If you try to visit in the evening, there'll be no one around to let you in. Even hitting the red button meant to summon someone never gets a response. The door stays shut. I have to wonder, if no one's around at night, who's looking out for our loves ones? Where's the assistance that we're paying for?

" "Poor Service at Spring Creek With Long Standing Unresolved Issues""
I'm writing this review due to the consistent complaints and lack of action for even basic issues, from something as simple as getting a television to function in the room, to the in the dining area. We're paying for services that we're not receiving. 1) The most major complaint surrounds the meals. Our parents journey to the dining area for food and end up waiting nearly an hour from order time to get their meals. Once the food actually arrives, it's cold, incorrect, or in some cases, doesn't even show up. This standard of service is unacceptable, especially considering this is something we pay for and my parents rely on. This service is so poor that it interferes with their scheduled medical appointments due to delay, often causing my parents to miss meals entirely to prevent being late for their appointments. We submitted a complaint letter and have had multiple follow-ups about these issues, all replied to with, "We're working on it". Looking at reviews for Spring Creek (see below), it would appear they've been residents and 'working on it' for the last two years. 2) Standard television service is included in their room fee, so theoretically, it's something we're already paying for. My parents have been living there for 2 months and they still don't have a working television. I've personally approached the facilities staff to inquire about getting their television fixed, and was told, "We have a few old boxes upstairs, I'll see if I can get one working, but they do tend to break down frequently". They provided a box that doesn't work, which is just not good enough. 3) My parents were supposed to receive an orientation about the facility's operations and their particular details which took over a month to happen and didn't cover enough. If you're looking for a place for your elderly loved ones, I couldn't possibly recommend Spring Creek.

"Danger! Spring Creek's Terrible Care and False PromisesExposed!"
I wished I could avoid giving Spring Creek even half a star, but the site wouldn't let me. I seriously advise against moving your loved one into Spring Creek in Bellingham! I've just gone through the latest state audit. They were slapped with five warnings in October 2014. They've had the audacity to assign nurse responsibilities to medication aides. Their staff is inadequate and lacks necessary training, leading to falls and wrong dispensation of medicine. No state or national background checks are carried out on their employees. A large number of their staff do not meet the necessary certification requirements. We have a family member currently staying at Spring Creek and we're frantically looking for better options. We were given a lot of false promises. We're only hoping our loved one isn't seen in filthy clothes or drenched in urine. The residents there are often ignored due to an insufficient number of staff. Stay away as much as possible!

"Great value for families, clean and caring community!"
The staff at this place varies, with some being really good and some not so great. But when we think about the cost compared to similar places in Canada, it's definitely worth it. For my family, it's a nice community to be in. We think it's great and would suggest it to others. The place is clean, and the care they provide is top-notch.

"Ideal Home for Aunt"
We chose Spring Creek for its vacation vibe, not old-age feel. The rooms are like condos with plenty of space - bedroom, living room, large bathroom, walk-in closet, and a kitchen area. Most retirement homes just offer a bedroom and bathroom. The dining room is big with varied menus, and you can dine freely. Our unit is over 400 sq. ft., with a monthly rent of $2790 covering housekeeping, meals, snacks, transportation, in-room telephone, cable, and more. There's a $2000 admission fee, which wasn't mentioned upfront, but I was told it's common. My aunt moved in recently, and she's enjoying the great services and friendly staff.
