"Great Care and Convenient Location!"
Everyone seemed really happy at this place. The rooms and common areas were big, clean, and comfy. My loved one stayed for 30 days of respite care, and the location near her doctor and the hospital was a bonus.

"Consistency Needed for Trust"
My mom's been here 6 months. Things keep changing: staff, aids, opportunities. It's hard for her to trust anyone.

"Disappointing Tour at Assisted Living Facility"
Our family visited the place in person, and honestly, it wasn’t a great tour experience at all.

"Helpful Staff and Good Experience Despite Staffing and Accessibility Issues"
Right now, there’s a shortage of workers all over the country, and Cogir has been affected by this too. They haven’t had enough staff, and on top of that, there was a Covid outbreak. You could see that the caregivers were really tired, which worried my parents. They were working really hard, but there didn’t seem to be enough staff to meet everyone’s needs, as we saw during our few weeks' stay. My parents both use wheelchairs, and the bathroom doorframes in the 1-bedroom and studio units are very narrow, which isn’t great for wheelchair users. Keep this in mind if your loved one uses a wheelchair. They did have many other ADA accommodations, but the doorframes weren’t widened. One of the best things about our experience was that they let us rent a place instead of having to buy in, which was a huge help since we were in a tough spot. I couldn’t find any other place that offered a furnished rental, and [name removed] in sales was amazing. She even called me back on Thanksgiving night, was very flexible, and got a room ready and painted. She even arranged a king-size bed for my parents, which is rare in senior living. The staff overall is incredible. [Name removed], the head nurse, is outstanding. He’s very smart and skilled, and he has been fantastic at handling my parents' needs and working with their doctors. He and his team have been the best part of our experience. While the community might not be as active as we expected due to many residents needing more care, it’s still a great place for the right person.

"Friendly staff, nice place, but food fell short"
My first impressions stayed the same after moving my loved one in. The staff were friendly, and the place was nice and comfortable. I felt good about leaving her there for care. Her health was not great, so we didn’t get to try everything or give it a full test. But I definitely visited other places where I felt much less comfortable. Cogir was conveniently located right across the street from her doctor. However, I wasn’t very impressed with the food, especially after the hype during the tour. It seemed a bit bland, overcooked, and too salty.

"Assisted Living Tour: Nice Community, Limited Medical Support"
This place is really nice, and they were super helpful when I visited. They showed me around and answered all my questions. There are lots of cool things for people who live there, but they couldn't help with everything my mom needs for her health. Still, it's worth checking out if you're looking for a nice place.

"Nice place, but not the right fit for my loved one"
I thought this place looked really nice when I visited. The people I met were friendly. However, this community didn’t meet the needs of my loved one.

"Friendly staff and well-kept community with attentive manager"
I toured this community and liked what I saw. Everything looked well-kept inside and outside. The staff and residents were friendly and welcoming. I even visited the dog park. The manager gave me their full attention during the tour. Overall, this is a very nice community.

"Great staff and facility, focused on high-quality living experiences"
We visited on the first day that they were moving from Aegis to Sunrise. Even though it was their first day, the staff was really helpful and knew a lot. The place is very nice and clearly cares a lot about providing great experiences for everyone, whether they need memory care or just regular help.

"Great care and clean facility minor adjustment needed"
The place is really clean, and the staff is super nice. The food is decent, and he’s eating three meals a day and gaining weight. Nothing is perfect, but this place is almost there. There haven’t been any problems with laundry or anything like that. It’s just a tough adjustment for my loved one.
