"Bright and clean, suitable for independent living."

The Gardens is good for those who prefer simple apartments. The rooms are bright and nicely arranged, with really clean hallways and common spaces. After checking out many options, this was the top pick for my family member.

"Neglectful Memory Care Facility Fails Residents"

If your loved one needs memory care, avoid this place. They don't provide the care they should. Maybe they're understaffed, but as memory care providers, they should step up! Especially considering the cost. My dad went hungry because they'd leave food and not help him. If he wanted to stay in his room, he was left alone for hours.

"Community Lacks Memory Care"

The community is good, but it lacks memory care services.

"Good tour, but lacking aging-in-place option we needed"

Our family toured the facility in person and had a good time. The women who showed us around and talked with our loved one were very nice. But this place didn’t have the aging-in-place option we wanted.

"Bright, new facility with spacious, comfortable rooms"

I visited this place while searching for a home for my mom. The facility is brand new, so it’s really bright and shiny. Everything is new and looks super fancy. The tour guide was very professional and knew a lot about what the place offers. The rooms looked beautiful, were spacious enough to be comfortable, and were very bright. The whole facility had plenty of windows for natural light and was really clean.

"Great place, but not walkable; better for future use"

This is a really nice place and would be perfect once [Removed] is older. It’s not a walkable neighborhood, but it’s great for when she wants to be more active.

"A fantastic home with friendly staff and a clean space"

My loved one's time at The Gardens has been fantastic! The place is really clean, and the staff are super friendly. It's a great spot for my loved one to call home!

"A Top Choice!"

This community was one of our favorite options when we checked out different places for my loved one. They had lots of great amenities for all the residents, and the dining experience was wonderful. The staff was really polite during our visit and didn’t pressure us too much. The only downside was that there wasn’t enough memory care help available.

"Assisted Living Satisfaction: A Good Fit for Us!"

The Gardens at Town Square has been great for my husband and me. We've had a few issues, like not enough counter space and old appliances. It seems they expected everyone to eat in the dining area when they built it. Besides those, everything's been going fine.

"Lackluster Memory Care Experience"

My review is about the Memory Care facility. After our mom lived independently at the Gardens, she was suddenly moved to memory care. We weren't prepared for other options, so our advice is to BE PREPARED and DO YOUR HOMEWORK. After two years, it was gently suggested that mom might be happier elsewhere. Why? Her advanced dementia caused issues in the dementia area. That's my biggest complaint. The staff isn't ready to handle advanced dementia patients unless they're drugged and compliant. Due to our mom's religious views, we used minimal drugs. We even received a call because mom was yelling and had soiled herself. At nearly $6,000 a month, they should be better trained, but they weren't. And no, we didn't go over. Care is limited to what the patient allows. So, inch-long toenails, no shower for over a week we showered her during visits, weight loss because she refused to get out of bed, and UTIs due to infrequent toileting. The care is a la carte, and trust me, it adds up FAST! The well-meaning staff faces high turnover, and residents don't get used to anyone. The manager changed three times in two years. Our final straw? While waiting for furniture movers in the lobby, I bumped into the manager. She didn't ask about mom, so I mentioned how well she was doing in her new place. Shockingly, the woman didn't even know mom had moved. TWO DAYS LATER! As I said, do your homework. 📚

"Prepare for Memory Care: Research and Know What to Expect"

My criticisms are about the Memory Care center. Our mother had been living on her own at the Gardens, but was quickly moved into memory care. We weren't ready for this switch, and so I strongly recommend being ready for anything. Research and plan ahead. After a couple of years, they suggested in a roundabout way that our mother might be better off elsewhere. The reason? Her severe dementia was becoming a problem, even in a dementia unit. That's my main issue. The staff doesn't seem equipped to take care of patients with serious dementia unless they're medicated and calm. Our religious beliefs led us to use the least amount of medication possible. We received a jarring phone call telling us to come by because our mom was yelling and had had an accident. With a monthly cost of nearly $6000, it's my view that they should be ready for situations like this, but they weren't. We did not respond to this call. The care provided depends on what the resident permits. This led to neglect, like nails growing too long, no showers for a week at a time (we had to bathe her ourselves when we visited), weight loss from refusing to leave her bed, and urinary tract infections from insufficient bathroom breaks. The services provided are selected and paid for individually, which starts to pile up quickly. The employees are kindhearted, but their numbers change often, preventing residents from familiarising themselves with consistent faces. The manager's role has been filled by three different people within two years. The cherry on top was when, while waiting in the lobby for furniture movers, I bumped into the current manager. I decided to greet her, and updated her on our mother's condition at her new home, given that she didn't ask. She was unaware that our mother had even moved, even after two whole days. In closing, I reiterate my advice to research and plan ahead.

"Everything has been great!"

I have no complaints about the care my loved one is getting here. The staff have been great and make sure to meet her needs. She likes the food and enjoys the activities they have each week.

"A Nice Tour, But Not the Right Fit"

I got a great tour that I really liked, but I don’t think this place is right for us. The community can’t provide the level of care we need. It’s too urban for my loved one. After discussing it, we decided it’s not the best location. Otherwise, it looks very nice and is super clean. The interactions I saw were good.

"Top-Notch Care and Happy Residents"

The place is awesome, and the staff is amazing. Mom loves her new studio apartment and the care she gets. Moving in was super easy. What really impressed me was how friendly and helpful the staff are, and even the residents are always smiling and genuinely happy.

"Perfect Move to The Gardens with Great Activities"

From the moment we moved into The Gardens, my husband and I knew it was the right choice for us. The staff and other residents have been very helpful and friendly, especially with the downsizing and move-in process. With so many activities and programs available both at The Gardens and nearby, we always have something to do.

"Affordable Price, Spacious Apartments - Promising Assisted Living Facility"

This place has a good price, and the apartments are bigger, which seems like a good sign.
