"Liked Lakeshore, Preferred Another for Layout and Cost"

We liked the outside area, people, and workers at Lakeshore, but we weren’t sure about how the rooms were set up and how much it cost when we looked at another place. For instance, they asked us to pay more for a safety wristband, which the other place gave us for free. Even though we would have been okay with Lakeshore, we ended up liking the other place more.

"Caring Staff and Beautiful Setting Make a Happy Home"

My parents love the beautiful place and the caring staff who always work hard to make sure Mom and Dad smile every day. Moving to a new community has its challenges, but we are handling them one by one together.

"Great Community with Chef-Prepared Meals"

I picked The Lakeshore because it's a smaller, friendly community where I feel at home. Despite Covid restrictions, they offer lots of activities and chef-prepared meals. I'd recommend it.

"Pricey meals, small rooms community otherwise excellent."

The apartments are nice, but they have small rooms for the price. The fee for a second person is too high considering it covers only one meal a day. However, the rest of the community is excellent.

"Mixed Feelings About The Lakeshore Assisted Living Facility"

The Lakeshore offers many services for residents, but sometimes not all requested services like showers or commode emptying are promptly provided, despite signing up for them. There are many staff members, but it's unclear who handles what, making it hard to get questions answered. On the positive side, the meals are excellent, the facility is very clean, and they offer lots of activities. They also seem to handle medications correctly. However, The Lakeshore is quite expensive, so expect to pay a lot for the benefits you receive.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Facility"

I enjoy the facility and the activities, but the cost seems a bit high for what they offer, although it's not unreasonable. My main worry is whether they can sustain this level of care. The staff is friendly.

"Couldn't be happier with Mom's experience at Lakeshore"

Mom loves living at Lakeshore. The staff is friendly, helpful, and always ready to answer questions. The food is great, and the servers are very accommodating. Mom enjoys all the activities, like field trips on a big bus, drives in a smaller bus, and shopping trips to Fred Meyer. They also celebrate holidays, have concerts, card games, book clubs, puzzle solving, and even Art Show/Wine Tastings. They provide rides to the doctor and hospital too. The grounds are beautiful, with a well-maintained rose garden and even a pea patch garden. Although Mom's unit isn't updated, she has a lovely view of the lake and the "eagle tree." She could get help with medication, showering, and other needs, but she has improved so much she doesn't need it! I’m very pleased with this fantastic retirement/assisted living home. It’s a joy to visit Mom and her new friends at Lakeshore!

"Great Staff and Activities at a Beautiful Lakeshore Community"

My in-law has really great, happy staff helping him, and the place is always clean. He enjoys all the activities and stays really busy. They recently had a luau and a fireman carnival. It's nice because they have activities during the week, and family can join in if they want. The community is beautiful and right by the lake. We knew some people who had family at Lakeshore, which made it easier for us to choose this place. We also chose it because there are a lot of Asian people here, and since he mostly speaks Cantonese, it’s a better fit for him.

"Good tour, but too far and missing indoor parking"

I had a good tour here and thought about living here. They were my second choice because they were too far away and didn’t have some things I wanted, like indoor parking. I needed that.

"Great Place for Mom, Helpful Staff, Would Recommend!"

My mom is getting used to the community lifestyle here. It's nice and well-managed. The staff are really good with her care. She's adjusting to the schedule, learning how things work. In assisted living, they help her with anything she needs. They're good at explaining things and getting her involved.

"Nice Place for Families to Visit"

I visited this place myself. It was clean and tidy. The people who worked there were really nice and answered my questions. They said they have things to do and different foods to eat. I didn’t feel like I was at home, but I think other families should check it out for themselves.

"Not Bad Place With Nice People, Okay Overall Experience"

I visited this place thinking about my mom. It's a pretty good spot with nice folks. They gave us food and it was okay. This isn't a terrible place, everything seemed well-kept and tidy. People who work here were warm and kind. All in all, it was an average visit.

"A Smooth Transition to a Caring Community"

My mom just moved into Lakeshore, and she’s been welcomed by a super supportive and caring community. The place is clean and neat, and the staff have been really attentive to her needs. It’s been a smooth and easy transition for her.

"Wonderful new home for our parents—thank you!"

On behalf of my parents, my 6 siblings, and 14 grandkids, I want to thank you and your amazing staff for the wonderful environment you've created for our parents. We were worried they might feel like they were losing their independence, but our experience has been the opposite. They've told everyone about their ‘neat new home,’ and they are healthier and happier than they've been in years. We see now that this could have worked sooner. A huge ‘Thank You’ from all of us to you and your fantastic team!

"The Lakeshore is perfect, great staff, and very grateful!"

The Lakeshore is the perfect place for my dad. He’s happy, safe, and loving his new home. I’m thankful for A Place for Mom and the great staff at The Lakeshore.

"Great location and friendly staff, with fun activities"

This place is in a great spot and the facility is really nice. The dining areas, including the private ones, are very pleasant. The food is good, and the desserts are even better. My dad lived here for seven years and made lots of friends. It felt like home to him. He loved having a small garden, playing in the Wii bowling league, and going on frequent bus trips. The staff was professional and caring. They gave him the extra help he needed as he got weaker, but they made it seem like it was just part of their job. The August luau was always a hit. His favorite meal was “Breakfast for Dinner.” I recommend taking a tour and having lunch to really get a feel for Lakeshore.

"Good Facility but Needs Better New Resident Integration"

The Lakeshore assisted living is really good. It's always clean and looks nice, and the people who work there are nice too. They're good at their jobs and they care a lot. But, they're not very good at helping new residents feel at home. My family members are having a hard time finding friends and activities. There's a lot to do, but they need help figuring it all out. I think The Lakeshore needs to do a better job making everyone feel like they're part of the community. This is why I'm giving it a 3 out of 5 stars. My family just wants to feel like they're part of a community, and right now they're feeling alone.

"Really happy with this place for my dad."

I was really happy with this place. It’s currently my top choice for my dad. I believe he will be happy here too.

"They’re better than most"

Unfortunately, they don’t join in activities because they’re not interested. My mom was hesitant to move there, so she mostly stays in her room watching TV. The staff encourages her to participate, though. Overall, my experience has been okay. I’m dealing with billing issues right now—they seem confused, but I’m working on it. I can’t say I’m disappointed with the staff; it might be their software causing the confusion. The care seems adequate, but I haven’t seen much of this type of facility. I have high standards, and I’m not thrilled with the cost. They’re overpriced, but maybe other places wouldn’t be any better.

"Old Facility, Peaceful Neighborhood"

The facility is a bit old, but the neighborhood is quiet. Worth exploring.

"Head of Facility Treated Me, Food Decent, Space Okay, View Excellent"

The head of the place treated me to lunch at their onsite cafe. The food was okay (fake crab doesn't work well in a warm sandwich). You get a great view of the south part of Lake Washington. The apartment was fine, not as big as some, but with an excellent view.

"Familiar But Located in Unfavorable Part of Town"

I'm familiar with this place, though it's in an unsavory area.

"Hotel-like elegance, exceptional staff; lacks memory care services."

This place feels really fancy, like staying at a really nice hotel with four stars. The people who work here are awesome too. But just so you know, they don't have memory care services.
