"Great staff and activities; wish Mom stayed longer."
The staff was very loving towards my mother, which was great. They encouraged her to join activities, even if she could only watch. The front desk was helpful, and everyone was nice. Sometimes communication was a bit off, but that’s understandable with so many residents. The place is wonderful with so many activities that you can't get bored. Even a 40+ year-old woman would enjoy living there because there are so many fun things to do. Overall, the experience was good. The staff, especially the nurses and activities director, were friendly, thoughtful, and kind. Everyone seemed happy, which is rare in some places. I wish Mom could have stayed longer, but she needed more care.

"Fun Activities but Dining Needs Improvement"
The Lodge has lots of different activities for the residents. But the meals and dining service are terrible. They really need to get better. There should be more choices for food. The meals are often served cold and sometimes they don't have what's on the menu. The servers don't follow directions well either.

"Great location and staff, but Medicare coordination needed"
We really like the location and how there are enough staff for everyone. The move-in process and welcome were great. I just wish they worked with Medicare for nursing services.

"Short-Term Stay Disappointment"
Certainly! Here’s the revised review in 8th-grade level American English: We needed a short-term place for my 95-year-old mom. The Lodge seemed perfect, but the 30-day minimum stay was disappointing.

"Friendly Atmosphere but Theater Move and Slow Care Concerns"
Everyone here is friendly, and the atmosphere is nice. However, I’m frustrated that they moved the comfortable theater seats and relocated the theater to the upstairs activity center. The new chairs aren’t comfy for a two-hour movie, and the atmosphere isn’t as pleasant. The food here is okay but not always great, so it’s more like 3 or 4 stars. There are some alternatives if you don’t like what’s on the menu. I live independently, so I don’t use the care team, but I’ve seen others wait a long time for help, which isn’t ideal in emergencies. I’ve heard they’re working on a better system, and I hope that’s true. Overall, my experience has been good, and I would recommend this place.

"Good space but steep hill and limited meal options"
The apartments were pretty roomy, but they felt a bit "institutional." The place is on a steep hill, so if there's snow or ice, it could be tricky to get around. They don't offer transitional or memory care. Although the food seemed tasty, the price only covers 2 meals a day, while most places offer 3 meals.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Facility"
The rooms were pretty big, but kinda felt like a school. It's on a steep hill, so if it snows or gets icy, you might have trouble getting around. They don't offer special care for people with memory issues. Even though the food sounded yummy, the price only covers two meals a day, while most places give you three.

"Warm and Welcoming Assisted Living!"
This place was super clean and tidy, and all the staff and residents did a great job keeping it that way. They were really friendly to my friend and me, and they acted really professional while we were there. I especially liked the menu they had and the list of activities for the week. Unfortunately, it wasn't the right spot for my friend, but I would definitely suggest it to anyone looking for an assisted living place.

"Nice place, but no availability for the right-sized apartment"
The tour was good, but it wasn't the best fit for my mom. The community is clean and well-managed. The residents looked happy, healthy, and engaged. It was a really nice place, but they didn’t have the right-sized apartment available for us.

"A Pleasant Place to Be"
It was a nice tour, but it didn’t fit my mom. The community is clean and well-managed. The residents I saw looked happy, healthy, and active. Unfortunately, they didn’t have the apartment size we wanted.

"A caring, homey community with great meals and value"
I am really happy with this community. The staff are caring and attentive, and they've been very helpful. The community feels like home. The other residents are friendly and make me feel welcome. I’m pleased with the meals and the variety. I would recommend this place to other families because of the care and value. This is a great home for me.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Community"
This community is pleasant, but my mom wasn't completely satisfied, so she wants to relocate. She enjoys the food, although repairs take a while. Overall, it's a friendly place with activities for residents.

"Mom's Unhappy Despite Good Facilities"
This place is pretty good. However, my mom doesn't like it too much, so she's chosen to move. She does enjoy the food there. The upkeep takes some time. Apart from that, I reckon it's a neat place. The folks are nice and polite. Plus, they have fun things for the elderly to do. It's a nice, safe place. My mom just didn't feel happy.

"Great Place for Mom"
We checked out 6 places for my 95-year-old mom. The Lodge was the best for us. The staff is nice and helps quickly. Mom doesn’t need assisted living yet, but when she does, the staff will be there. She’s been there for three weeks, and we’re happy so far.

"Second Choice with Nice Atmosphere"
This place was nice, and it was our backup option. They served only two meals a day, though. We were also looking at another community that offered three meals. If the other place hadn’t lowered their price, we would’ve chosen this one.

"Assisted Living Facility Needs Maintenance and Improvement"
This place needs some serious fixing up. The building is old, and my room wasn't nice at all. Some pipes are rusty, and the washing machine on the second floor hasn't worked for years. My fridge and microwave had issues with the circuit breaker, and it's still not fixed. The staff are nice, but the management needs to step up.

"Underwhelming Upkeep and Management at Assisted Living Facility"
The upkeep here is rather lousy. You can tell you're in an old building, and my room wasn't great. I've noticed signs of plumbing problems - there's visible rust on some of the pipes. On every level they've placed a washer and dryer, but the set on the second floor has been useless for about two years. My room came with a small refrigerator and a microwave. However, it was a major hassle trying to get one of the circuit breakers repaired, and that issue hasn't been resolved yet. While the staff members are friendly, the people responsible for managing the facility could use some improvement.

"Wonderful place with friendly staff!"
My loved one stayed here for 4 years before we had to move him because he needed more care. The Lodge at Eagle Ridge is a great place, and we would still have him here if we could! It’s a beautiful property, and the staff is super friendly. It felt like living in a nice hotel. I highly recommend this place!

"Welcoming Assisted Living Facility with Room for Improvement"
As soon as you walk into the main area, you can't help but feel welcomed. Both know their stuff and were able to answer all of our questions. If we had any more, they told us not to hesitate to call. The food court is open all day and has a salad bar as well as made-to-order sandwiches. You can also try the daily grill special during certain times. This place is licensed to have both couples and single folks, even if one is independent and the other one needs help. However, the apartment they showed us was pretty cramped and likely wouldn't work well with a wheelchair, even though it had its own door to outside. This is a large community. They also provide transportation to church and bible study for folks who want and can do so. There was a pretty bad smell in the part of the building they showed us and the hallway was long and dimly lit. They're also building a large apartment right next to it. What we really admired was the community’s drive to ensure everyone has a role to play and enjoys their life here. They motivate their residents to participate in activities and eat healthily. Plus, it's all gluten-free!

"Everything has been awesome here!"
Everything has been awesome here! My loved one is really happy with how helpful everyone is! I knew it would be good, but I didn’t know it would be this good! She’s super pleased with the staff! The activities are fun - they do church outings and sewing projects. Mostly, I haven’t heard anything bad about the food. We really liked this place because it’s close to my work and home, but we also loved how comfortable she felt there. The environment is cozy and the director was amazing!

"Friendly staff, big rooms, and cookies!"
I'm from out of town and searching for a place for my dad. I really liked this place. The staff was friendly, and they had cookies at the front desk like in some hotels. The rooms were big.

"Great Staff and Good Location, But Some Drawbacks"
Positives - The staff were knowledgeable and friendly, and they spent a lot of time with us. Jason, the Concierge, gave us a great tour. The location is good, close to NW Kidney Center and VMC. The costs fit our budget, and they are willing to negotiate. Negatives - The Phase 2 apartments won’t be accredited for assisted living for another two years. The Phase 1 public spaces need better decoration and lighting because they are very dark. There is no memory care unit. Also, the distance from the apartments to the dining room is quite a walk.

"Impressive Facilities within Budget"
We visited this place first and were super impressed. The boss spent more than an hour with us, showing us around and telling us about everything they have. She introduced us to the people who work there and the people who live there, and they all seemed really happy. We liked that the rooms weren't too small, there were lots of things to do, and they have nurses who are really good at their job. We also liked that they have a program for healthy eating. The only bad thing is that it costs as much as we can afford. We won't have any extra money for unexpected things. But so far, this place is our favorite.
