I thought I'd get help finding my way, but no one was around to guide me. Instead, I had to search for someone to talk to. There wasn't even a receptionist, just an empty nurses' station. She quickly showed me a fancy studio, talked about the perks as we walked around, then pointed out the dining hall, a hangout spot, and the exit. Honestly, it felt more like a nursing home than a place for assisted living.
