"Limited Activities and Staff at Assisted Living Facility"
The place is in a good location and it's a nice size. It's small, so it's easy to get around. But there aren't many people living here, so there aren't many things to do. The staff is also limited, and they didn't even have the name on the door until the family added it.

"Disappointing Experience at Sage Meadow Assisted Living Facility"
Sage Meadow's assisted living facility is dealing with a bunch of issues. They're always changing who's in charge from the top boss to the nurses who handle the medicine. Here's why I think you should stay away from Sage Meadow: 1. They keep giving out medicine meant for sleeping even when it's not necessary. 2. Their carpets are dirty and burned, and they don't even offer to replace them. 3. They didn't fix safety problems they said they would before we moved in. 4. Whenever I try to call them, no one ever picks up. 5. The big bosses don't talk well with the employees. 6. They actually took our mom to the emergency room and didn't even realize she was gone. 7. The staff only helps with bathing once a week, and if she's sick or misses it, they just wait until next week. Dealing with Sage Meadow has been really hard for us and especially for our mom.

"Not a Good Fit for Active Seniors"
After talking with [name removed] at the start of our tour, we quickly saw it wouldn't work for my dad. Artisan seems mainly for memory care patients, which my dad isn't. The residents are much older, and it doesn't offer the care and activities my dad needs. The place was clean and the staff were nice, but they were a bit unorganized and didn't seem to be expecting me.

"Great community visit: nice staff, activities, and spacious rooms."
I visited this place and it seemed really nice. The people there were friendly and knew a lot about what they were doing. They had some cool activities available too. We picked the community because they had bigger rooms, just what we wanted.

"Comfy Home, But Staff and Fun Are Lacking"
The home’s a bit old but it’s kept in good shape. The shared spaces are neat and have cozy chairs, TVs, and even bookshelves here and there. But, it looks like they don’t have enough people working. I’ve visited my mom lots of times and often, there’s no one from the staff around the living areas. They’re usually in some office or kitchen and only rush out if an alarm rings, meaning someone’s trying to leave. Talking about things to do, I’ve been coming to see my mom a few times every week for more than half a year, and just once did I find her doing something with a group. Most times, she’s just watching TV or staring out the window. They also said they’d take the folks out on trips to places like the Olbrich gardens. That hasn’t happened. And talking to the staff is confusing. The head nurse says one thing, but the caregivers say another. The night crew and the day crew don’t seem to talk to each other much. So, yeah, it’s a nice place with nice people, but they’re really busy and don’t talk to each other much.

"Staff Overworked and Communication flawed at Elderly Home"
The building they're in is kind of old, but it's taken care of pretty well. The main hangout areas are clean, full of cozy chairs and couches, televisions for folks to watch, and even a few bookshelves in some parts. But there's a problem: it doesn't seem like there are enough workers there. More than once I've stopped by to see my mom and found *zero* staff in the place where the residents are. Instead, they're off in an office or a kitchen or something and will only sprint out if some door alarm goes off because a resident is trying to go outside. Speaking of activities, I've been visiting my mom several times a week for over half a year, and *only once* did I find her doing something with a group. Every other time, she's just been sitting in the main area, watching TV or staring out the window. They also told us my mom would be going on "field trips" to places like Olbrich botanical gardens when we first picked this place. I haven't seen that happen even once. Lastly, it seems like the staff aren't talking to each other. The head nurse has told me one thing, and then one of my mom's caregivers tells me something different. The people working in the evenings don't seem to share important stuff with the daytime folks. Summary; The place and the workers are nice, but they're too busy and don't seem to talk to each other enough.

"Nice community"
The Artisan Senior Living Middleton community recently got a makeover. They changed the layout completely, and it's close to town for easy visits. However, they don't have enough staff. Unfortunately, they couldn't accept our loved one due to being understaffed. You'll see help wanted signs outside.

"Reliable Care: Artisan Senior Living in Middleton, WI"
When you're finding a place for your parent, it's a big deal. We looked at a bunch of places, and Artisan Senior Living in Middleton, WI turned out to be the best for our Mom. Every day isn't perfect, but Artisan tries hard to help our Mom and us. Right now, they have great people working there like a director, nurse, and marketing director. It's important to know the folks who are in charge and taking care of your parent, so when you leave, you feel okay. You've got to speak up if something's not right, because you're speaking for your parent, and you should also speak up for the good stuff. Artisan Senior Living tries to do a good job, and we families appreciate it.

"Family Member Disappointed in Artisan's Care and Poor Management"
My relative became a resident here this year. The management of this establishment is simply appalling. Staff doesn't communicate with each other, and they show no concern towards the residents. I strongly advise against choosing the Artisan!

The staff is warm and welcoming, and we’ve seen them genuinely care for the residents. We’re impressed with the variety of activities and services available. Our family member has adjusted well to the new surroundings.

"Dreadful Care at Artisan Middleton II Hurts Families"
My dad was staying at Artisan Middleton II for almost a year. The place used to be great when it was under a different management. After they sold it, the care got worse so fast that I had no choice but to take my dad out of there. Our story mirrors what others have said about the place too; too many nurses coming and going (this isn't good for people with memory problems), they're always short-staffed, the nursing care was very poor quality, and they didn't have a lot of fun things to do. Plus, there was no space for them to be outside at all. My dad's health and happiness have gone way up since I moved him to a different place. My family had to go through a lot of unnecessary stress for months because of these huge problems with the care he was getting when we should have been enjoying our last years with my dad. I'm sharing this so hopefully you won't have to go through the same thing. Please think long and hard before deciding to send your loved one to Artisan Middleton II Memory Care.

"High-end Assisted Living with Excellent Financial Guidance"
It felt super fancy, almost like a country club. Dad was beyond that. Care seemed good. The tour guy was really helpful explaining money. It was a bit far and costly, starting at $4500 plus add-ons based on care needs. Dad would have required extensive care.

"Mixed feelings about assisted living; some positives, some negatives"
My husband has been at the facility since April. I like that the director responds promptly. She's good at connecting with people, which is a plus. However, there have been many changes lately. Staff and activities have decreased, especially on weekends. The low staff morale concerns me. They're hiring more executives and letting go of workers who actually do the work, which I dislike. I've talked to the director and marketing manager about this; they promised improvements, so I'll wait and see. They did well in moving him to a new area for more freedom due to issues with verbally abusive patients.

"Long-term Care with Responsive Staff at Artisan Assisted Living"
Artisan gave us different care options so our loved one wouldn't have to move. We wanted a place he could stay for a long time without moving. The person who told us about it was really nice and they always answered us quickly. It felt like they really wanted us to come. They called us back and gave us all the information we needed. We think Artisan is a good choice for anyone.

"Lacks amenities, decent community vibe, needs more activities, overpriced"
This place has friendly folks and a cozy atmosphere, plus it's kept clean. But there aren't any sidewalks or green areas. Also, there's no activity bus or transportation, and the social activities outside the complex are lacking. Overall, it's not worth the price for what's offered.
