"Friendly staff, delicious meals, and fun activities in family-like environment."
The staff is very friendly and always helps with a smile. Residents are friendly too. It's a nice place to live with delicious meals and fun activities. The library has good books to read. It feels like a family environment with positive vibes.

"Poorly Staffed Facility Lacks Safety and Respect"
This place doesn't have enough employees, is dangerous, and the boss doesn't show kindness or respect to the people living there. My uncle was left on the restroom floor for a long time when he fell. It's heartbreaking.

"Inconsistent Services and Management Changes Mar Otherwise Nice Facility"
The apartments are really nice and worth the money. The staff are okay at talking about medication problems but there aren't enough of them, so sometimes the help is not so good. Also, since our family member moved in, the boss has changed three times, which makes things a bit messy.

"Mixed Experience, Limited Care"
This place is pretty nice overall. Unfortunately, they couldn't provide the care my wife needed. Having a full-time nurse on staff would be really helpful for some residents. Housekeeping happens once a week, and it's just okay. I usually decline it. I'd recommend this facility to family and friends who don't require a lot of personal care. It's not the best fit for higher levels of care.

"Overwhelming Care in Tiny Space"
This place gives too much care, I guess. Having three meals a day and a tiny 750-square-foot two-bedroom apartment feels overwhelming. I think I'd prefer a retirement community with less structure.

"Ridgeline Management Co. Gives Short Notice for Renovations"
I have legal power over my grandma's matters and just got told we have 30 days before the memory care part of her living facility shuts down "for renovations". A place for elders, that looks after those with dementia and Alzheimer's, only giving a 30-day heads up?! Big changes like renovations should need proper, long-term planning with ample warning to families. This is really unacceptable, and the top folks at Ridgeline Management Co. should feel really embarrassed.

"Avalon's Disregard for Memory Care Residents Amidst Staffing Changes"
My grandma spent 15 years at Avalon, experiencing all three levels of care. Most of the time was good, although the memory care unit's been sliding the past year. It isn't always clean and it's outdated. The folks who worked with my grandma there really put in a lot of effort for her. Recently, they let go a lot of the staff. Newbies were being trained by others who were already overloaded and struggling to meet the residents' evening needs. The residents in memory care worked hard their whole lives. They're vulnerable now and should be able to live peacefully. They don't deserve all this disorder and lack of care for their well-being. Today, I got a 30-day notice about closing the memory care units for improvements. Sure, the law requires a 30-day notice, but I expected more warning if they really planned to renovate... It's not fair that the big wigs have homes they know will be there 30 days from now.

"Avalon's Memory Care Unit: Struggling Staff and 30-Day Renovation Notices"
For the past 15 years, my grandma has been a resident at Avalon's assisted living facility, experiencing the full range of their care services. The majority of her time there was quite satisfactory, even though the quality of the memory care unit has been declining recently. Although its cleanliness has often been questionable and it is desperately in need of renovation, the staff in the memory care unit was always ready to go above and beyond for my grandma. But the last week has shown serious change as they dismissed most of the staff, leaving those who remained overstressed and overworked, struggling to meet residents' after-supper needs. It hurts me to see my grandma and her fellow memory care residents, who have dedicated their entire lives to honest work, living amidst such disarray and disregard for their health and safety. Just today, I got a 30-day notice informing us that the memory care unit will undergo renovations and will therefore be closed. Such a notification aligns with the law's requirements but it would be reasonable to expect greater advance notice for something as significant as this. It's disappointing to witness the facility's higher-ups handling things in this manner, enjoying their comfortable home-life with certainty for their future, whilst the residents' are left uncertain.

"Pleasant Visit to This Place"
I had a really nice tour of this place. Everything went smoothly, and everyone was really nice. It was a good experience. The staff I met were friendly and gave me helpful information. They answered my questions. From what I saw, the place looked well-maintained. It was a good tour, but it wasn't the right fit for us.

I checked out this place for my mom. The tour was good. The people there were nice, and they answered my questions. The place looked nice, too. But we found another place that worked better for us. Still, the tour here was pleasant.

"Communication lacking: Availability misrepresented, otherwise satisfactory living conditions."
My parents really liked this place when we toured it. It was a beautiful community with great bedrooms that they really liked. Unfortunately, their business office needs some improvement. My parents decided to send in their deposit after choosing to live there. However, the administration didn't get back to them for a few weeks after they sent in the money and said they didn't have any open space for them. I wish they had told us during our tour that they didn't have availability.

"Caring Environment at Memory Care Unit"
The Memory Care facility has lots of friendly staff, from CNAs to the unit’s administrator. They even know my name when I visit my mom. The common areas and residents’ rooms always look clean and tidy. Recently, they spruced up the common area with fresh paint, new furniture, and a wall-mounted TV. The staff also decorates the unit nicely for holidays. And Mom consistently enjoys the breakfast and lunch. The unit administrator actively engages with us to improve Mom’s well-being.

"Great care in Memory Care!"
My mom has been living at Avalon for a few years now. She moved to Memory Care over a year ago, and since then, she’s been doing much better. The staff are kind and gentle with her and the other residents. I feel that they respond to my questions and truly want to keep Mom safe and comfortable. They quickly ask questions to understand what Mom wants and needs.

"Feeling Unsatisfied with Assisted Living Facility's Services"
They're not great at following up or staying in touch. After something happened, it took them way too long to clean up. They weren't watching my family member well enough. It seems like there's only one nurse caring for everyone - both those needing memory care and assisted living. I'm not sure if they're short on staff or what. Right now, we're not very satisfied. Although they said the furniture was included, they asked for $500 when we got there. Plus, there's no nurse available on weekends. We picked them based on their location and closeness to our family.

"Nice Place, Reasonably Priced"
We visited Avalon Assisted Living while exploring care options for a family member. Overall, it seemed like a pleasant place. The facility and furnishings appeared a bit older and less fancy compared to other options we saw, but the apartments themselves were spacious and bright. Plus, the price was reasonable.

"Friendly staff and lots of help—great place!"
We've been really happy so far. My father-in-law has been there for two weeks, and everyone has been super helpful. There are way more staff on duty than any other place we checked out. Plus, the staff seem to really enjoy their jobs—they're always laughing and chatting with each other. It's a great atmosphere.

"Avalon = Peace of Mind"
My very elderly mom lives at Avalon. It's such a caring community. Every staff member knows each resident by name and shows they really care. Mom really wanted to stay in her own home, but that wasn’t possible. So she moved to Avalon, and they have been so kind in helping her adjust. They offer lots of activities, and the place is welcoming, clean, and comfortable. The friendly, caring staff gives me peace of mind since I live out of state. They keep me informed about activities and any issues she may have. I’d recommend Avalon to anyone looking for a pleasant, safe place for an elderly person.

6.5 miles away. Not the best spot, but liked everything else. One-bedroom setup just like Mom's now! They accept Medicaid for all types of care. The most budget-friendly option we've found. Trying to figure out why.

"Lacking Staff and Updates, Good Food and Activities"
The food and fun stuff were nice at this place. However, they need more people to take care of the residents. The current staff are pushed too hard and can get snappy sometimes (but I don't blame them). They don't give the individual attention they promised unless you constantly ask for it and complain a lot. This place needs to be fixed up.
