"Assisted Living Review: Comfortable Rooms, Caring Staff, Varied Activities"
My mom has lived at Robin Way for 8 months. She likes it. Staff is friendly and caring. Rooms are comfy with everything she needs. Food is decent. Laundry done daily. Aides check in often. Activities available if interested. Outside entertainment comes in sometimes. Best facility in our city after comparing many.

"Safe Haven with a Family Feel in Phoenix"
My husband and I went to Phoenix for six weeks. I needed someone to care for my mom while we were away. Robin Way was one of the few places that offered this service. The staff there were very friendly and helpful. I felt completely comfortable leaving Mom there. As it turned out, Mom needed more assistance, so we decided to extend her stay until the end of summer. Unfortunately, she became ill and required a surgery. She is now recovering well at Robin Way. The manager has been incredibly helpful in managing Mom's transition to staying at Robin Way. Mom is happy and safe there. I've gotten to know many other residents, and it feels like a family. Finding Robin Way has given me peace of mind. Trust me, we are very pleased with our decision.

"Cozy and Welcoming Assisted Living with Friendly Staff"
I picked Robin Way because it's smaller, not too crowded, and feels like home. The studio apartment isn't huge, but they also offer one-bedroom options. We get to choose our meals, which is nice. The staff is super nice and always ready to help. I think you'd like it here too!

"Misled about long-term care; disappointed about safety concerns"
We chose Robin Way because we thought she could stay even when her money ran out and no matter her health. She started falling more often, and after a year, they didn't want her to stay because of the risk. We were disappointed because they didn't make it clear that falling could be a reason she couldn't stay. We also worried about her medications being on time. She had Parkinson's, and her medication needed to be strictly timed, but sometimes she got it an hour early or late.

"Non-profit Robin Way offers personal apartments, excellent food, recommendable community."
Robin Way is a smaller non-profit community where everyone has their own apartment. It's a lovely place with better-than-average food. We would recommend this community to others.

"Caring Staff and Decent Amenities Make Living Comfortable"
The staff here really cares. They talk to me about what my mom needs and are always listening to the residents. The rooms are about average in size, and the food is alright. There's a path around the building and a little bit of outdoor space available.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
I wanted to move my mom, but she didn't agree. The place had five directors in five years. Lots of staff came and went. Food was good. The bus didn't work for a long time, so no outings. Sometimes, housekeeping didn't happen for a while. The one-bedroom apartment was about 300 square feet, but much of it wasn't usable because of the full-size kitchen. The place didn't feel cheerful—old-fashioned decor. The aides were kind to my mom, but I didn't think she got excellent care. The director didn't interact much with residents.

"Spacious Studio, Planning for Smooth Transition to Assisted Living"
We met a resident who is legally blind. The studio is bigger than expected. To make it cozy, we aim to arrange a bed/nightstand or a small visitor sofa. She prefers her recliner from up north and a swiveling shower chair. Once her husband's burial is done, we'll bring her for an assessment and to learn more about costs. We'll also ask about the waitlist and when she can move in.

"Mixed feedback on assisted living: praised staff, food; outdated decor."
Studio apartments cost $2870, while 1-bedroom units are $3430. They offer religious services and a beautician onsite. The food is good, but the decor is outdated and too dark. Most reviews commend the staff and food quality, but some mention concerns about the darkness and the need for updates. This facility focuses exclusively on assisted living.

"Dim and Smelly Facility with Small Rooms"
The second I walked into this place, I was almost knocked over by the strong smell. That alone made me not want to choose this place. I looked at the rooms to see if it would be good for my mom, but there's no counter space. Everything is so dark, it's hard to feel happy when there's nothing cheerful about it. I wouldn't recommend this place at all.

"Smelly and Dark Facility Lacks Warmth and Counter Space"
The moment I set foot in this place, the powerful smell almost toppled me over. This was a big no for me. I checked out the rooms to see if they would be nice for my mom, but they didn't even have counter space. Everywhere was dark. I don't see how it's possible to feel happy in a place that looks so depressing. I wouldn't suggest this place to anyone.

"Brookdale: Friendly Guide, Outdated, and Not Too Clean!"
When I checked out Brookdale, the person showing us around was nice and knew all the answers to our questions, but I didn't really like the place much. It seemed old-fashioned and not super clean. The lighting was too dim. In the apartment, there was a cabinet that was about to fall off the wall. After about 15 minutes, I was ready to leave fast.

"Facility Could Use Some Updates, But Overall Nice Experience"
I think the place needs some sprucing up. It seemed old and could use a few fixes. The person showing me around was helpful, and I thought they kept it clean. I got to check out the rooms, and they mentioned pets are welcome. Overall, I felt everyone was friendly and nice.

"Friendly Staff, Dim Lights and Limited Meal Service"
The people working here seemed friendly enough during our visit. However, the place felt too gloomy for my liking. They only provide meals twice a day, which I didn't appreciate. The guy showing us around knew a lot and explained all the papers thoroughly. We did get a free meal during the tour. The place looked clean and the residents seemed to be happy.

"Friendly Staff and Happy Residents Make a Big Difference"
From the moment we first visited, the staff and facility were great. Everyone is friendly and happy to answer any questions. Since moving my mom into Brookdale, she's much happier. She enjoys the company of other residents who she relates to well. It’s such a relief to not worry about her happiness and well-being.

"Review: Assisted Living Facility - Friendly Staff but Lacks Warmth"
This was my least favorite among the three facilities I visited. It felt too big and not very personal. However, the staff was really friendly. Linus needs an outside spot to chill during summer but I didn't see that here. The place was neat, but I found it too dark.

"Good, but not perfect"
Brookdale Pleasant Prairie isn't perfect, but it's pretty good. The staff here are really good at sharing information with each other. Everyone knows my wife has Alzheimer's, and they handle any issues well. The only annoying thing is that meals are always 15 to 20 minutes late. Overall, I'm really happy with this place. The staff are great and super nice.

"Director needs to be more attentive; food is impressive"
Brookdale Pleasant Prairie lost their housekeeper, but a new one is coming. The director is friendly but seems to forget things. The food is really good, and since my mom is picky, that's impressive. Overall, I am happy with the facility.

"Steer Clear: This Assisted Living Facility Seriously Lacks Care!"
I brought my grandma to this place back in November 2013. They made everything look awesome when we were just looking for a place for her. But once we got her settled in, it all turned sour. The staff seemed worked to the bone and didn't make enough money. The bosses were TERRIBLE. They'd forget to bring my grandma to meals, she'd be left in dirty diapers, and her room was dirty. It was hardly anything for her to do. The nurse didn't even get my grandma's medicine when she came back from the emergency room, which led to her going back to the hospital with a serious infection. I told the boss about it, but nothing happened. I told the big boss, still no changes. I even reported it to the super big boss, and NOTHING changed. They started complaining my grandma was too much for them to look after. I decided to move her somewhere else, and it was the smartest thing I ever did. DON'T let a family member live here.

"Urgent: Wynwood Needs Nurse Who Listens to Patients and Doctors"
My friend's mom stayed at Wynwood until recently. She got really sick, her tummy hurt bad, and she had constipation so she had to go to the hospital. The only nurse at Wynwood didn't pay attention to the pain she was saying she had. When she returned to Wynwood with a doctor's note for a certain amount of stool softener, the nurse decided she didn’t need what the doctor said and didn't give her all of it. So her mom ended up back at the hospital with constipation all over again. Now, she's at a different place. Wynwood really needs a new nurse - one who believes that elderly people aren’t lying about their pain, and one who doesn't think she's smarter than a doctor when it comes to prescriptions! I wouldn’t step foot in there as long as the current nurse is still working there.

This place was really nice and super clean. Everyone who worked there was really friendly. It seemed like they take care of people who need more help than my mom does right now.
