"Needs Better Caregiver Supervision"
Some of the helpers here don’t always treat the older folks nicely. They can get snappy and talk back even when asked for little things. The workers don’t seem too busy, actually, it’s more like they’re not busy enough. It looks like nobody’s really watching how these helpers act, so they just do whatever.

"Great care in a home-like setting for end-stage Parkinson’s"
My mother had advanced Parkinson's, and we chose Ellen's Home because of their great facility and caring staff. She was there for about 5 weeks until she passed away. My dad tried to keep her at home as long as he could, but eventually, we knew she needed professional care. This was our first time with facility-based care, and we were worried that making the wrong choice could be harmful, especially for my mother. I'm happy to say that choosing Ellen's Home was the right decision. The care they provided, along with her insurance case workers, was outstanding. The facility is small enough to feel home-like but still offers the support needed for different residents. Although we don’t have long-term experience, I’m confident that Ellen's Home and their wonderful staff would make any experience as positive as possible for both the resident and the family. We really appreciate the care they gave my mother.

"Ellen's Home Port Washington Deserves Your Consideration"
My father and I choose Ellen's Home of Port Washington to care for my mom when her needs exceeded our ability to care for her by ourselves at home. Making the wrong choice would have been detrimental to all of us, particularly my mom, who had been struggling with her helath and has end stage Parkinson's. We heard of Ellen's Home by word of mouth, it was recommended by a friend. Looks like we did make the right choice as the care my mom received in her short time (5 weeks more or less) at Ellen's Home was all we could hope for. The facility is in fact like a real home, like as such a facility can be, and, the staff is caring, nice and very compassionate. We are so grateful for the staff's efforts to make my moms last weeks in this earth as comfortable as they could possible. It really does deserves your consideration, they cover all your expectations and more.

"Smooth Process and Caring Staff Made Transition Easy"
The whole process went smoothly, and everyone we talked to was helpful, understanding, and caring. We felt welcome and found the staff ready to explain everything about this change for our loved one. This openness gave us the confidence we needed to accept this transition. Our family feels secure as we adjust to meeting our own needs and building new relationships with our loved one and each other. Thanks to everyone involved.

"Mixed Feelings on Assisted Living: Clean, Friendly Staff, High Price"
I visited this assisted living place. It's clean, staff are nice, and the people living there seem happy. But it's a bit confusing for my mom because it has two buildings connected by hallways. Also, it's pricey.

"New Assisted Living Facility Offers Family-Oriented Environment"
This place is really nice. It's brand new, but it feels a bit messy sometimes. They're really focused on family, which is cool. They have this thing called a wanderguard system, which seems helpful. But there aren't a lot of activities to do here, and no doctors visit regularly.
