"Friendly Atmosphere, but Caregiver Training Needs Improvement"
I would recommend this place because it feels friendly and like home. However, I'm a bit concerned about the training for the caregivers. Some of them were really good, but others didn't seem to know what they were doing. Like most places, they also seem to be short on staff.

"Mixed Feelings About Ellen's Home South Tour"
We visited Ellen's Home South in person as a family. The tour was okay, but we didn't feel it was the right place for our loved one.

"Disappointing Care and Rumors Cause Division at Assisted Living"
My friend didn't get good care here. Not enough workers. They made up lies, causing fights among families.

"Disappointing Experience at Ellen's Home South Assisted Living Facility"
Ellen's Home South seemed promising, but it's been nothing but trouble. When my in-laws moved in last year, we were hopeful. However, issues started immediately. The tour was nice, and the director made big promises, but they didn't follow through. The nurse who's supposed to train the staff didn't do a good job. Four aides couldn't even operate a basic lift! This is dangerous! Getting help here is like waiting for a shooting star. When my loved one fell, they were left on the floor for over an hour before anyone showed up. It's like they don't even know what infection control means! They don't follow CDC guidelines properly. As for activities, it's just watching movies. The staff act like we're bothering them if we ask for anything. My loved one ended up with butt ulcers because they weren't taken care of properly. And don't even get me started on identifying the staff! No name tags, no introductions. When there's a problem, good luck figuring out who's responsible. Overall, look elsewhere if you want decent care for your loved ones. I could say more, but I'm limited on words.

"Horrible Assisted Living Facility in Wisconsin: Avoid at All Costs!"
This place is terrible! It's the worst in Wisconsin. The people there are treated really badly! Don't even think about sending your loved ones here. The management is a mess. They don't care about the residents or the caregivers. The caregivers work too much and don't get appreciated. The residents aren't taken care of properly. This place should be shut down forever! They're a disgrace and give assisted living a bad name. All they care about is money, money, money!

"Awful Assisted Living: Poor Management, Treatment, and Care"
This place is really bad. The people who run it are really bad too. They don't treat the people who live here very nicely. They should close this place. All they care about is getting money.

"Avoid This Nursing Home!"
The people who run that place aren't nice. They only care about money and don't look after the old folks. They can't help with Alzheimer's care because they're just a regular nursing home. If you're thinking of putting your loved ones there, please don't.

"Not Ideal for Dementia Care"
I wish I had known that this place wasn't right for my dad. They say they help people with dementia, but we don't think they have the right skills. They should use certain techniques, but they don't seem to get it. Caring for the elderly takes special people, and some staff members don't have what it takes. The attitude needs to start at the top and go down. We're giving two stars for the nice facility and good food they serve.

"Disappointed With Dementia Care at otherwise Attractive Senior Facility"
I regret not realizing sooner that this place wasn't suitable for my dad. They say they can take care of folks with dementia, but we don't think they had the skills to really handle dementia care. There were certain approaches they should have used, but they didn't seem to get that. We believe caring for seniors requires a special kind of person, and we didn't think some of the staff had that quality. The culture of care needs to start from the top and trickle down. We're giving one and a half stars mainly for the nice-looking facility and decent meals.

"Friendly Staff and Pleasant Facility, But Pricier Than Expected"
The facility is pleasant, and the staff are friendly. They had a suite for Mom, but the cost was a bit more than expected.

"Pleasant Visit, But Not the Perfect Match for Dad"
I had a pretty decent visit to this place when I was searching for a home for my dad. The place was clean and welcoming. The people who worked there treated us well. But in the end, it just wasn't the right match for my dad and what he needs.

"A Welcoming Community!"
I really like this place. The food they serve is delicious, and they offer fun activities like exercise programs and crafts. The staff is friendly, but I think they could be more encouraging during the activities. Also, my loved one is very alert, and I believe they should have more activities tailored to residents in similar situations.

"A Clean, Friendly Place with Lots of Activities!"
I felt a bit disappointed when the cost increased after my dad moved into the community. The staff is super friendly, and my dad enjoyed the food, although the portions are small. The community is exceptionally clean, and they provide plenty of daily activities that he really liked.

"Clean, Friendly Community with Fun Activities and a Waiting List"
I toured this community and it was really nice. The place looked clean and well-kept. The staff was friendly and helpful during the visit. They have fun activities for the residents. There's a waiting list, but other than that, I would recommend it.

"Incredibly caring and great food at Ellen’s home"
Ellen’s home is super warm, caring, and loving towards the people who live there, so I don’t have to worry about a thing. My loved one used to stay in bed all the time, but now she’s up and active every day. The food is amazing like eating at a fancy restaurant.

Okay care, food's pretty good usually. The boss knows what they're doing and will look into any problems that come up. I'd give it a B+.

"Assuring and Cozy: A Pricey Yet Complete Living Environment"
This place feels just like home! It's a great spot where you can trust leaving your folks. The rooms weren't exactly what we were looking for, but having two rooms side by side might solve that. It's a bit costly, $4000 per person, but it covers everything they could want or need.

"Wonderful, Caring Director Who Goes Above and Beyond!"
They were amazing! I really wanted my mom to live there since it was only about 10 minutes from my house. The director, Elaine, really impressed me. She was wonderful and took the time to talk with me. She even went to the hospital to evaluate my mom. Elaine worked so hard to help us get in, and I thought she was fantastic. She really seemed to care.
