"A Pleasant Choice for Others"
It’s a really nice place. We chose this community because it felt like a good match. I’d recommend it to others.

"Elderly Mom Mistreated at Emerald Bay, Evicted During Snowstorm"
During the time my mom stayed at Emerald Bay's Alzheimer's care section, she was kicked out and had to move out in the middle of heavy snow. She was 91, suffering from dementia and under hospice care. EB terminated their agreement with Medicaid, which was my mom's insurance. She passed away just 3 weeks after she had to leave EB. She was really upset about the transfer. There is such a thing as relocation stress. I don't advise anyone to choose Emerald Bay.

"Short-Staffed Assisted Living Stops Medicaid Acceptance"
They didn't have enough staff, and sometimes it took a while for someone to respond when my loved one needed help. in the kitchen was friendly with the residents and made them feel comfortable. [Name removed] did well with the activities. However, they stopped accepting Medicaid, which was our main concern and why we left.

"Inattentive Staff and Poor Maintenance at Assisted Living Facility"
Staff at this place can't stop looking at their phones. The person who plans activities is nice, though. There's this button on the door that lets you in and out, but it's not great when you've been waiting to leave for ages and an employee standing right there won't lend a hand. Then the thing broke and they didn't bother to fix it, even though they charge us a lot. I noticed the same dust balls in the room for months. Stuff went missing too - I asked around, but nobody seemed bothered. Just a warning: as soon as you run out of money and need Medicaid, they'll show you the door.

"Reduced Service Quality Upsets Residents"
The place is pretty clean, but they used to clean our apartment every week. Now they say they can't because they're short on staff. Our loved one's apartment smells bad now. We pay for this service, so they should either lower the cost or improve their standards. The staff are friendly, especially Bobby in the dining room. They have good activities, and our loved one likes the church services. But they need to respond faster to call buttons. It's frustrating that the quality of service has gone down without a cost reduction.

"Disappointing Assisted Living Experience"
My family member didn't like it there. When I talked to the bosses, they said we had to leave in 30 days. You have to be pretty self-sufficient. They're not equipped for folks who need a lot of help. Overall, you don't get as much help as you expect. They don't have enough workers. I've had to pitch in with taking care of my family member a few times. When it's time to eat, it seems like all the staff vanish.

"Safe and Social Environment for Loved Ones"
My loved one feels safe and happy here. They can be more social and are having a good time. There are movies, parties, happy hour, and other activities they can enjoy. The community was short on staff, but they are hiring more to help take care of the residents.

"Quality Assisted Living Option with Concerns About Distance"
This was a great choice for my mom. They had the best answers when I asked how to prevent my mom from falling. They keep residents in common areas, not their rooms, so they can always keep an eye on them. This was very clear when I visited. The staff showed me around, and she was very impressive. She seemed to be a big reason why this place is doing so well. They're full with a waiting list, but they had one studio available for my mom. My only worry is the distance. They're west of Green Bay, and I live on the far east side. I really didn't want to drive that far to see my mom.
