"Helpful and Friendly Assisted Living Staff Members"
The staff members at this facility are incredibly fast and eager to help me keep my space neat. Even the latest employee becomes engaged in discussions with both my son and me whenever he visits me. She readily helps me get hold of items that are way above my grasp every time I am in need.

"Assisted Living Facility Visit: Underwhelming Experience"
We talked to the manager since the usual person was away. We didn't get asked to sit down and talk about the stuff they offer. Instead, he gave us a brochure and took us to see a room. The room looked good and tidy, so no issues there. But overall, the place is just okay, nothing extraordinary.

"Mixed Feelings About Franciscan Courts Assisted Living Facility"
I helped my family member move into Franciscan Courts in November 2018. The building is really clean and modern, which is nice. My aunt says the food is very good, and the kitchen staff are friendly. It would have been better if someone had welcomed her and showed her around when she arrived. I had to give a slightly lower rating to the care services. My aunt says the caregivers often seem rushed when giving her medicine and don't listen to her concerns. Sometimes they say they'll tell the nurse about her worries, but it takes days for the nurse to respond. At night, the medicine isn't given at the same time each day, and sometimes sleep aids are given too early. It's tough for elderly people when there are new caregivers every few days—it's stressful and hard to feel comfortable. There are lots of activities planned every day and chances to leave the building, which is great. I think it would be nice if someone visited the residents personally to encourage them to join in. My aunt thinks she's not getting enough for what she pays, but I disagree. Her apartment is beautiful and always clean, her laundry is done the way she likes it, and she enjoys the food.

"Older building, nice staff, crowded"
I went on a tour here, and it was OK. The building looked older. The rooms were nice and seemed clean. It felt really crowded with not enough common areas. The dining room was depressing. The staff was nice and answered all my questions. I recommend families tour before making a choice.

"Avoid This Assisted Living Facility, Froedert Should Delist Them"
You need to steer clear of this place, no matter what. My mom got sent there for physical therapy after a big operation...I just don't have the energy or patience to get into all the terrible details. If it wasn't so late on a Saturday, I would have moved her to another place today. I think I've found a better option and I will check it out tomorrow. Froedert Hospital should seriously take them off their referrals.

"Poor Treatment and Care at Assisted Living Facility"
A couple years ago, my mom and dad both needed rehab. Honestly, the care at the place they were at was terrible. The nurses and aides didn't do their jobs well. Also, the physical and occupational therapy wasn't steady. The team was rude and didn't care about what my parents needed. I thought it was awful, but then it got worse when Dad fell and hurt his hip at the assisted living part of the Villa. He had to go back to the same place and the staff was even more unkind. They took forever to answer calls for help and didn't worry if people ate or not. Dad fell more times because they didn't watch him or care enough. Good staff couldn't stay because they weren't given enough hours. This place was always short on people to help. Thankfully, we found a better place today for Dad. This new place makes us think he'll be able to get up and move around without a machine lift. I wouldn't send anyone I care about to Franciscan Villa!

"“Steer Clear of Franciscan Villa for Loved Ones' Care""
A few years ago, both of my parents were in rehab at this assisted living facility, and my impressions were not at all favorable. I was quite disappointed by the behavior and attitudes of the nurses and aides on staff. The physical and occupational therapy were subpar, and the staff was rude and unresponsive to my parents' needs. I didn't think it could get worse until my father fell in the facility and broke his hip, needing to revisit for recovery. The staff's poor performance just escalated. They were not only rude but also took over an hour to answer call lights, and showed no concern for whether the residents ate or not. My father had a few more falls, demonstrating their lack of interest and supervision. One good aide ended up quitting due to inadequate working hours. They were ALWAYS understaffed!! Thankfully, we were finally able to move him to a much better place today. This facility has given us hope that our father can recover and eventually move without a hoyer lift. I would definitely list Franciscan Villa as the LAST place I'd consider for a loved one.

"Institutional vibe; not mom's style."
Seemed too much like a hospital. My mom prefers cozier places.
