"Mixed Experience: Beautiful Facility, Staff Challenges"
The place looks nice, and if you want to live independently with a little extra help, it's a decent option. However, they have trouble keeping experienced nurses.

"Great Assisted Living Community!"
This community is fantastic! I'd suggest it to others for their loved ones. The dining and activities are wonderful for residents. They serve three meals a day, and families can join their loved ones for meals. Activities include dog shows and entertainment.

"High Praise for New, Clean Assisted Living, but Pricey"
We had a good tour at Harborchase of Shorewood. The place is really nice. It's super new and super clean. The rooms for residents are decorated really nicely. However, it's also very expensive.

"Lack of Staff Responsiveness in Assisted Living Facility"
I'm shocked by how unresponsive the staff is. When we ask for information, we rarely get a reply. This place is like an apartment where they provide food, give out meds, and offer some activities for residents. But when it comes to needing medical attention or knowing what services are available for our loved ones, they show no interest in helping us. They don't even assist us in understanding or solving problems within assisted living. I'm questioning how they maintain their accreditation when the safety of residents is at risk.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
Since opening, this assisted living facility has had its share of ups and downs. There have been frequent changes in leadership and RNs. Caregivers working on weekends and off shifts require more support. Additionally, they need better training in handling residents who wander into others' rooms in the memory care unit. Despite these challenges, the place is beautiful, and the caregiving staff does their best. However, there's room for improvement in memory care leadership during weekends and evenings to guide and support the staff. On a positive note, the concierge support is excellent.

"Mixed Feelings About Weekend and Nighttime Care in Facility"
This place opened with its fair share of ups and downs. Leaders and nurses changed a whole lot. Those who care for the residents on weekends and during the nighttime definitely need more help. They also need more training when it comes to helping residents with memory problems, especially those who tend to wander into other people's rooms. This facility looks great and the staff does their best, especially those working in memory care. They just need more leaders during the weekends and nighttime to help them and set a good example. Plus, the front desk help is really awesome.

"Caring Staff Makes Mom's Stay Great!"
I'm really happy with the people who take care of my mom at this place. They're always trying to get her to join exercise classes and other fun stuff. I even got to taste some of the food they serve, and it was good. Overall, I'm pleased with how things are going for her, and I'd tell anyone to check this place out.

"Rough start, but thriving now!"
We had some issues at the start with miscommunication and the finance department, but I think everything is sorted out now. My mom feels at home here and is doing better than she was with private 24-hour care. We've seen the meals, and they look good. My mom likes the food, and they also provide snacks and juice during the day. There are activities for residents, and the place is very clean. The staff is friendly and caring.

"Great place with good food and caring staff"
Mom likes the food, and there's a snack bar in the lobby. The staff are good at taking care of her. Some new staff don't always know the answers, but they find out and get back to you. Mom enjoys the exercise classes they offer. The place looks clean when we visit, and I would recommend it.

"Expensive Facility with Poor Service and Negligent Communication"
Very expensive and not worth it. No one picks up the phone. I wouldn't suggest it.

"Avoid this facility: Expensive and subpar!"
This place is way too expensive considering what you get. Also, they never pick up the phone. I wouldn't suggest it to anyone.

"Great Experience at Harbor Chase of Shorewood"
I visited Harbor Chase in Shorewood to find a place for my mom. The director and admissions staff were very professional and welcoming. They made the move-in process smooth. The facility is new, cheerful, and well-organized. Rose, the RN, is very friendly and takes care of medical needs well. The community is still growing, but the activities, meals, and staff are well-trained and always friendly. The apartments are beautiful, and the Shorewood location makes it easy to get to activities and doctors.
