"Heritage Muskego Falls Short in Care and Communication"
This place called Heritage Muskego isn't good. The people who run it don't listen to families, don't have enough staff, and don't show up for meetings they promised. Some of the workers care, but most don't do much to make the old folks feel involved. The things they do for fun are like what little kids would do, not what grown-ups would enjoy. Lots of the workers aren't even part of Heritage, they work for other companies. If your mom or dad needs extra help, don't pick this place.

"Great care, clean facility, minor staff shortage issues"
I was happy with Heritage Muskegon. She was great—friendly, helpful, and professional. The place was clean and well-kept. Most of the staff seemed really dedicated to caring for the elderly. The nursing staff was also excellent. The four-star rating was mostly due to a staff shortage at the time. This meant extra pressure on the team, causing a few small care gaps, though nothing serious. I think this was a common issue in the industry. Overall, I give high marks and highly recommend it.

"Cost-Cutting Measures Over Resident Comfort"
The facility is pricey and keeps skimping to save money, which affects the people living here. It seems like they care more about what’s easier for them, not about making us happy. The nurses and CNAs during the day and evening on the second floor are good, though. But there are other issues.

"Responsive and Caring Assisted Living Staff"
They’ve restarted indoor activities, and residents love it. If anything happens to our loved one, they promptly update us. Their responsiveness is impressive. The staff is awesome, especially the two exceptional nurses.

"Expensive but elegant facility, friendly staff, not within budget."
We visited this place and it looked fancy and nice. The tour was okay, and the people working there were really nice. But it cost more than what we planned for, so we couldn't choose it right now.

"Friendly staff, decent rooms; food and communication need improvement"
We picked Heritage of Muskego because the staff was friendly, the location was good, and they promised a lot. The rooms are a good size. My dad says the food can be good or not, and it would be better with more choices. The staff is nice, but they need to communicate better about what's happening with COVID. I also wish they let us visit more often, as I haven't seen him since March. They offer virtual visits, but he's not very good with that, so it's hard.

"Poor Care for Parkinson's Patient at Heritage of Muskego Assisted Living"
My dad had Parkinson's and needed lots of help at Heritage of Muskego. Often, they put him in a corner because they thought he bothered others. We weren't happy with the care. They didn't do what they should've or watch him closely. I had to ask staff to feed him and give suggestions. It felt like we were doing all the work. We're very let down. They aren't what they claimed. They don't know how to handle Parkinson's. They didn't treat residents like people.

The place is really nice, but it's quite pricey and doesn’t accept Title 19.

"Nice place, but not the right fit for mom"
Four of us visited this place and decided it wasn’t right for our mom. There was nothing wrong with it; actually, it was really nice, but it just wasn’t what we were looking for.”
