"Small and Friendly Assisted Living Facility with Prompt Service"

This place is small and feels like a friendly community. When we reach out with questions or concerns, they respond quickly. The problems we've had are not very serious.

"Heartless Treatment at Assisted Living Facility: An Insider's Cry."

Keep your family away from this place. They were unkind to my relative, not in a physical way, but emotionally. They've crushed her spirit to an extent that she's still recovering. We kept on calling them, but they ignored every single call. We had authority through a Power of Attorney, but they allowed her to sign for hopice care and a physician and we were never informed about this. I myself caught wind of a few incidents happening there. My relative rarely cries, yet she spent every day shedding tears and pleading me to rescue her. And this wasn't her first time in an assisted living facility. She had been doing alright at another institution for a year, but had to leave because of increased difficulty with moving around.

"Needs Improvement: Residents Deserve Better"

This place doesn’t have the things it says it does online. My relative lives here, and I can tell you there’s no place to get a fresh salad or order meals. The person who makes food is only here in the morning, so what we get for lunch and dinner are just cold sandwiches or hot dogs. Ever since we got a new person to plan activities, there haven’t been much fun things to do for half a year. It’s really upsetting because even though some workers really try to make life nice for the people living here, there aren’t enough of them. The bosses haven’t fixed the problem with not having enough staff, and it’s not fair to the folks who live here. We’re trying to find a better place for them to live.

"Inconsistent Staff, Effort Shown, Husband Appreciates Friendliness"

This place is really trying hard for my husband. They don’t have enough help, but they’re still trying. The workers are always leaving or calling out. My husband thinks they’re nice.

"Resident's Happiness Improved; Staff Turnover a Concern at New Facility"

My mom recently moved here and is much happier than her previous place, where she shared a room and paid more. The caregivers are great, but turnover could be a problem. When it's my turn, I hope they have space!

"“Mom is happy (and safe)!”"

My mom recently moved to this assisted living facility, and she’s much happier here than at her previous place. At the old facility, she had to share a room and pay double the cost. The caregivers here are excellent, although there seems to be some staff turnover. When it’s my turn to move, I hope they’ll have a spot for me!

"Appalling Conditions at Elderly Care Home"

This facility isn't for elderly living, it's more like a hospice for seniors nearing the end of their lives. Most residents here have either Alzheimer's or dementia, and the management allows them to wander around freely, unknowingly causing harm to other residents. These dementia-affected seniors have wandered into my friend's room multiple times. Despite repeated requests to prevent this, the staff has stated they can't control these situations. Additionally, there has been no air conditioning for the past two days and my friend has had to sit in nearly 100-degree heat. They gave her a fan today, but couldn’t provide a timeline for when the AC will be fixed. I wouldn't wish this facility on my worst enemy.

"Dissatisfaction with Kenosha Assisted Living: Unsafe, Uncomfortable Conditions."

This place is more like a home for seniors nearing the end of their lives, rather than an assisted living facility. Most of the residents have Alzheimer's or dental problems and they often wander around and hurt others. I noticed that Alzheimer's patients unintentionally trespass into my dear friend's room despite repeated requests to stop this. The staff insists they can't really do anything about it. They had no air conditioning for the past two days and my friend had to endure a scorching 95-degree heat. They merely gave her a fan today, saying they were unsure when the AC would be fixed. I wouldn't ever send my worst enemy to this place.

"Disappointing Experience at Assisted Living Facility"

The food here is too fancy and they serve broccoli a lot. My relative is a picky eater but the alternative is just peanut butter and jelly. They never have cold cuts like ham or turkey for sandwiches. The staff always say they're busy and understaffed, making my relative feel afraid to ask for help. I've seen staff on their phones during meals instead of helping. Late at night, I couldn't find any staff, and when I did, they were outside smoking or texting. Overall, not happy and worried the same issues will happen elsewhere.

"Dissatisfied: Fancy Food and Distracted Staff at Assisted Living Facility"

This assisted living facility serves really fancy food all the time. It's almost always broccoli vegetable mix. My family member who stays there is pretty picky with food, and they say they have other options. But, these options are just peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. They never have any cold meats like ham or turkey for sandwiches. Also, the staff always seem to be complaining that they're too busy and don't have enough help. They even complain to my family member so much that she doesn't want to ask them for anything. She's scared they'll get mad. I once sat in the dining room during meals, and the aides would just sit at the tables with the people living there. Instead of helping them or chatting with them, the aides would be on their phones, texting. One night, I came by and couldn't find any staff members. I finally found two of them outside. One was smoking, and the other was busy texting on her phone. To be honest, I'm not really happy with this place, but I'm worried that moving somewhere else could just mean facing the same problems.

"Good care, needs better shift communication, very accommodating and friendly."

The facility is good overall but needs better shift communication.

"Friendly, Attentive, and Accommodating Assisted Living Facility"

They're doing a good job, and we're pretty happy. Communication between shifts could be better. Sometimes when I ask a question, they don't know what happened before. But they're very friendly and attentive. Whenever I visit unannounced, they're on the ball. My loved one is always well taken care of, and his room is clean. They give an alternate meal if he doesn't like it, and they're quick to make accommodations. They had a car show with a barbecue, and everyone joined in. They provide gentle encouragement. I even saw someone stay to help out when they were short-staffed.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"

Our time here has been a bit up and down. Overall, things have been okay, but there are a couple of things they should improve. The main problem we've faced is that the food they serve seems too fancy for my loved one, who would prefer more traditional options. I've also heard the workers talk about how they don't have enough staff and are very tired from working too much. I've noticed this too because sometimes it takes a long time for them to help when we ask.

"Experience Mixed, Improvements Needed at Assisted Living Facility"

Our journey here was kind of mixed. Overall, things weren't too bad, but there are a few matters that could use a little attention. The main problem seems to be the food served - it's too high-end. My family member would like some plain, old-fashioned meals. I've also overheard staff talking about being short-handed and overworked. I believe this might be true because when we ask for help, it sometimes takes a while to get a reaction.
