"Friendly staff, great activities, but pricey and small apartments"
Some residents seem a bit "snooty," but I think that will change over time. Cleanliness gets a 4 because of some construction mess. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. Even though it's independent living, the staff is very caring. Meals are only served on weekdays, which is tough for those with special diets. We love all the activities! Very impressive, and [name] is well-liked! It's quite expensive for the elderly, and the apartments are small for the high rent. I understand the industry's challenges with rising costs. Overall, we're happy our loved one is here, close to the Northshore area where options are limited.

"Great Activities and Helpful Staff Make This Place Comfortable"
Comfortable and easy to live in with lots of activities. The people here are fun, and the food is really good. Social meetings are enjoyable, and the front desk staff are very helpful. Security concerns are handled well, and the outside areas are well-maintained. Medical staff are always on duty, and there are monthly activities listed on the calendar.

"Mixed experience at assisted living facility with room for improvement"
The stuff sometimes isn't there. The rides don't work. Food's not great, so my family member doesn't join fun stuff. New boss, maybe it'll get better. Room's big, cost's okay.

"Be Careful: Medication Errors and Poor Communication"
I’d tell anyone to think twice before choosing this place. It’s in a great spot and looks really nice, with cool things like private balconies. But I’m not sure if it’s just for now or if it’ll keep happening, they’ve given the wrong medicine to my family member more than once. Plus, it’s hard to talk to the people in charge, like the boss and the main nurse.

"Affordable and spacious with room for improvement in services"
What stood out about Laurel Oaks was the cost. We found what we needed at a price that fit our budget. Our one-bedroom apartment is spacious enough for us. They offer cleaning services twice a month, but it would be better if they sent two people instead of one. I haven't joined many activities due to health issues, but I plan to once I feel better. The meals have been hit or miss; some are great, others not so much. You just have to get used to the different cooking styles. I would definitely recommend them to others.

"Great help and fun activities with good food and services"
The staff here is really helpful when new residents arrive and they do a fantastic job setting up fun activities. They even include my electric scooter in the programs. They also provide good food, dining services, cleaning, and laundry.

"Friends, Activities, and Good Therapy"
We’ve been at Laurel Oaks for 3 and a half years. We’ve made new friends and joined daily exercise classes, a book club, and other groups. I’ve really enjoyed the library here. I’ve also used the physical therapist on site for the therapy my doctor suggested. I’m happy we decided to move here.

"Isolated Feeling in Assisted Living Facility"
I didn't like this place as much as others. It was big, bright, and clean, but it felt lonely and not the friendly community I wanted. It seemed like there were two separate parts one for assisted living and one not.

"Decent facility for families seeking assisted living, with minor drawbacks."
I checked out this place while searching for a spot for my Mom. It’s alright, but kinda old. They have similar stuff like other places, but no laundry in-house. The rooms were nice, but a bit small. They planted trees for privacy, but it blocks sunlight. I’d suggest it to other families.

"Tour Shows Nice Areas, Great Staff but Overlarge, Gloomy Rooms"
Took a tour of this pretty big assisted living home. The shared spaces were really cool and the workers were awesome. But, the rooms were way too big, felt dim, and could use some fix-ups.
