"Great facility with no wait list and flexible living options"
We chose this place because there was no wait list, the price was fair, and it was close to home. The apartment was bright and seemed roomy for its size. They offer one meal a day with flexible dining choices. Mom lives independently now, but she can move to assisted living in the same apartment if needed. The person we met with seemed like a good fit and really represented the staff and the atmosphere of the facility.

"Understaffed Assisted Living Facility Fails to Provide Adequate Care"
My grandma only stayed there for a few days before needing hospice. They don't have enough staff, so they have to look around the halls to find someone to help. The lady who took care of my grandma seemed nice and worried about her. But after my grandma moved in, she stopped answering my calls and didn't help me with the problems that were obvious from the start.

"Mixed Experience at Layton Terrace Assisted Living Facility"
My family member joined Layton Terrace two months ago. At first, they didn't have enough staff, but they're working on hiring more. The bosses and managers are dedicated to giving good and caring help, but some staff members don't always show it. They're willing to listen to feedback, but sometimes they forget to tell the family what they're doing about it. The activities in the Memory Care part are nice. However, we weren't ready for how things really are there. It's super important not to bring anything valuable because things can go missing. I can't compare this place to others, but they seem to try their best in a tough situation. I haven't seen any staff being mean at any time.

"Positive aspects of the facility"
My dad has two issues with this place: maintenance problems and the food. They fix things quickly, but not everything. For example, the stove won't open unless we remove the cabinet knob, and the cabinet door is stuck because of the stove. They promised to replace the stove before he moved in, but they changed their minds. The toilet overflows every day, and they won't send a plumber. The shower handle is hard to turn, even for a non-elderly person, and they won't fix it. On the bright side, the place is very clean, and they usually respond quickly and nicely.

"Too formal and expensive for us"
I visited Layton Terrace. The tour was nice, but the place wasn't right for us. It felt too fancy and cost too much.

"Assisted Living Facility Experience"
During dinner, residents looked content but service felt rushed. Few visible staff. Facility worn, dirty, needs upgrade. Similar to old nursing home, unlike Heritage.

"Poor Care, Empty Promises: Look Elsewhere for Loved Ones"
My mom stayed there for less than a year. The care was really bad. They didn't take care of her wound on her foot, didn't help her shower, and sometimes didn't change her clothes for days. The staff and boss promised many things but didn't do any of them. So, please be careful when picking a place for your loved one.

"Mixed Experience at Layton Terrace Assisted Living Facility"
The workers are generally nice, making our visits pleasant. Our family member enjoys their company, which is crucial. We'd recommend Layton Terrace, but they could improve. Sometimes, they take a while to help our loved one. During COVID, they've forgotten meals a few times. They offer activities, but we wish they were more suitable for people with memory loss. Billing can be inconsistent.

"Good care, but higher level may not justify the cost"
Everything is going well. My only problem is that my loved one was put in a higher care level by the nursing staff, but I don’t think she gets more care than she would in regular assisted living to make up for the extra cost. However, they do return my calls. My loved one enjoys the food, and it smells good. They also have a lot of activities.

"Nice Appearance, but Small Rooms and Poor Food"
We chose Layton Terrace because it looked like a place he would like. The room sizes here were smaller than other places we checked out. The food was not good, and when I ate with him, the portions were very small, especially for the money we paid.

"Busy and Active Assisted Living at Layton Terrace"
We met a kind and understanding woman during the interview. Now that my sister lives here, we're happy with the overall experience. The medical care and activities are good, especially for memory care. I'd recommend Layton Terrace to others looking for a home for a loved one. Although it seemed big at first, it's actually a busy, active place with lots going on.
