"Poor management tarnishes otherwise decent facility"
The lady in charge of this assisted living facility was pretty rude and bossy. To start with, the parking lot’s too small. When it fills up, they tell you to leave your car on the highway and hoof it. This ain’t good for folks who are handicapped or elderly. Plus, there’s absolutely zero handicapped spots. If you get on her bad side, she’ll kick out your mom or dad with no warning, even though that's against their rules. It leaves you with no place for your loved ones at the worst possible time. She won't pay you back the money you're owed, either. She makes sure to avoid this by purposely waiting until after the 10th of the month. I don't think she handles things professionally, and these issues matter. It's a shame because the place looks good and we thought it was nice at first. But just because something's pretty on the outside doesn't mean it's the same on the inside.

"Navigating Alzheimer's Care Challenges"
The main issue was that he wasn't doing well, and they attempted to limit visits due to his Alzheimer's. Unfortunately, it didn't work out as expected. Despite this, I believe he received good care overall. The visit restrictions were challenging, and it's tough to second-guess decisions. They did their best to make him comfortable, even though we knew he wouldn't be there for long.

A Place For Mom Customer
"Undecided about small versus large assisted living facilities."
This place is nice and cozy. I'm not sure if my mom would like living in a small spot with less stuff but more closeness, or if she'd prefer a big place like Merrill Hills.

This place is great, but if her health got worse, we'd need to relocate.
