"Avoid Matthews Senior Facilities: Poor Conditions and Overpriced Services"

My family visited numerous Matthews senior living facilities in both Appleton and Neenah. We were disappointed to find that the facilities were extensively worn out- from dingy carpets, foul smell of urine, and even the smell of dead rodents in several places. While the care staff was affable, the administration left a lot to be desired, being surly and inhospitable. At one place in Neenah, the administrative staff made us wait unnecessarily, as if our request was a bother. We dropped in around lunchtime, only to see residents eating a lunch that appeared economical and unpalatable. I would advise everyone to avoid these facilities as they are overpriced to begin with!
