"Caring staff made Mom's last months peaceful and safe."
My mother spent her last months at Mathews. My sisters and I are very thankful we found this small, caring place. Mom was private and needed her own room, which was important to her. The staff was loving and kind, giving her the best care we could hope for as a Medicare patient. We always left visits feeling at peace, knowing she was well cared for. Our only complaints were that a few minor things were a bit worn and fuses seemed to blow often, but these are small compared to how relieved we felt knowing Mom was safe and well cared for.

"Unpleasant Experience at Matthews of Oak Creek Assisted Living"
The person for whom I am the legal guardian resided at Matthews of Oak Creek for some time. We dealt with theft of personal belongings and obvious disregard for personal items. My ward's cloth side chair and bed were soiled with feces and urine. Needless to say, we left them behind. The room was consistently dirty, with debris on the floor and an unkept bathroom. The refund they promised us for the stolen and damaged belongings fell through. The managing person at the time, LC, was dishonest about not getting receipts (if receipts were indeed sent) and repeatedly delayed addressing our concerns. It appears that 'corporate' fired LC, and now 'corporate' won't tackle the issues. They have deemed the matter 'solved.' Finally, the emotional toll this ordeal took required many therapy sessions and the expertise of the staff at Country View before any improvements became noticeable. Advice: Proceed with caution, keep a log of all observations, stay vigilant over all items, observe any shifts in demeanor, and assure the person who would be living there that they can be honest about what they see or how they are treated.

"Top-Notch Care"
I really like this place for my mom. The staff is awesome and super friendly. We're really pleased with how clean everything is. My mom enjoys the food, and they have great activities. I'd totally recommend this community to other families.

"Great Place with Friendly Atmosphere and Fun Activities!"
My loved one has made friends in the community. The food is tasty, and they have no complaints about it. The staff is always busy vacuuming and keeping everything clean. There are many activities for the residents, like bingo and card games, that everyone enjoys.

"Fantastic Place, Great Care, Happy Mom!"
Mom has been at Matthews Senior Living for just over a week, and she told me, "I'm glad you found this place for me." That really made my day! I'm so glad she's happy here. Everyone is really friendly and caring. Mom is sleeping better now, and she says the food is great. I tried a few meals myself and agree! The other residents are wonderful, too. I can sleep well at night knowing Mom is well taken care of. A big thanks to Matthews Senior Living in Oak Creek and to Amy Thornton for recommending this fantastic place!

"Great care and social activities for mom!"
My mom has been at Matthews of Oak Creek for a week, and it's been great so far. She's adjusting better than ever and is socially active, which is awesome! The care is excellent, and all her needs are met quickly. We hope this continues for her!

I loved how big the facility is and the many rooms. The one-floor layout is great. I appreciate their dignity philosophy and that payment ability doesn't matter. I would recommend this place to anyone.
