"Not Accommodating and Lacks Necessities and Activities"
When we got there, we had some questions but they didn't give us a place to sit which bothered me since my mom is 89. All the rooms are missing a private bathroom and furnishings. Also, we didn't see any events or fun things to do, the residents were just sitting.

"Disappointing Tour, Less Informed Staff and Shared Bathrooms"
We had a look around Matthews and it was a real letdown. I got there for the tour and it was like nobody knew what was going on. The staff didn't help, didn't tell me much, and honestly, they seemed clueless. Plus, I couldn't believe that people living there didn't have their own bathrooms to use, they had to share. That's not cool.

"My Tour: Assisted Living Review"
This place seemed really clean and pleasant when we stopped by. The folks we chatted with were friendly, and they had some cool perks. However, keep in mind that the apartments here don’t come with full kitchens.

"A New Home for Mom"
It’s really tough to decide what’s best for a loved one. I finally realized that my mom needed more than just family support. With sadness, our family started looking for a place that would be safe, loving, and kind, and help her with daily activities. My sister and I were impressed as soon as we walked into Matthews of Pewaukee. It was clean, and everyone seemed happy. We met the owner and toured the facility. As we walked around, all the staff were friendly, and the residents were too. They weren’t just sitting and staring at walls. I paid close attention to how the staff talked to the residents and listened to their tone. They were concerned, courteous, and respectful. My sister and I left feeling this was a good place for Mom. We soon brought her to see Matthews. She walked in and felt the same way we did. I told her I had another place to show her, but she said no, she would be happy there. Mom has been there for two weeks now and is adjusting well. So far, we are very happy.

"A Pleasant Tour"
When I visited the community, it seemed like a nice place. The outdoor area was lovely, and the facility appeared neat and tidy. However, after the tour, we realized it wasn't the right fit for us, and they were already full.

"Safe Place with Caring Staff but Needs More Outdoor Activities"
A safe and comfortable place with healthy meals and caring staff. I hope to see more outdoor and fresh air activities this spring and summer. My mom has been here for about a month. I’m watching how things go. She’s adjusting, but with dementia, she has good and bad days. The staff seems to understand her needs and know how to help.

"Promising assisted living: Good care, room for outdoor activities."
This place is safe and comfy, with good food and nice folks. I hope they add more fun stuff outside for spring and summer. My mom just started here a month ago, so I'm watching how it goes. She's getting used to things, but with her memory issues, some days are tough. The staff seem to know what they're doing and how to help.
