"Friend Thrives in Welcoming Assisted Living Community"
My friend is happy here. It's a good fit. Staff are friendly. Other residents are kind and helpful. Overall, a positive experience.

"Nice tour, but couldn't meet special care needs"
We visited and got a nice in-person tour, even though there was construction in the area. However, when we told them that our loved one needed a two-person lift to get out of her wheelchair, they said they couldn't do that.

"Assisted Living Facility Lacks Consistent Staff and Quality Care"
The staff at this assisted living facility changes a lot and often, which leaves residents without the help they need right away. It's even worse during the night as help is often not there at all. The overall care has gotten worse over the past year.

"Great care and social activities for my husband!"
My husband stayed at Meadowmere for 13 days of respite care while I was out of town. He is at high risk of falling. I felt sure he would get the care he needed from the staff. They were great with him, helping him with meals, activities, and anything else he needed. He joined in activities and got some social time he doesn't get at home. We are thankful to everyone at Meadowmere, from the front office to the kitchen and nursing staff. I would definitely bring him back! THANK YOU!!

"Disappointing Assisted Living Facility Falls Short of Expectations"
Don't believe the talk. This place got an award in 2015, but it didn't live up to it. We thought it'd be great for our loved one, but we were wrong. The big bosses were hardly around and didn't do much. But the people at the front desk were nice and helpful. They really cared about the residents and their families. There's supposed to be special care for people with memory problems, but it's not true. And they said they offer different levels of care, but they don't. The activities they said they'd do every day didn't usually happen. The person in charge of activities didn't seem to care much and didn't try to get people to join in. Lots of people quit working here because they don't get paid enough. The food was just okay, and it wasn't very healthy. Some residents gained a lot of weight while they lived here. All in all, it wasn't worth the money we paid.

"Safe, social environment; minor facility issues; caring staff commended."
I know my aunt is safe here, with many people around and lots of chances to talk to others. It feels more like living than when she was at home. Doctors send lab orders here so she doesn’t have to go out. Physical therapy and a foot doctor come here too, as the doctor said. There’s a bit of a problem using the on-site doctor. I think part of it has to do with Racine versus Kenosha and who can admit to the hospital. The elevator was tricky at first, but now my aunt is really good at using it. The food is really good, and the staff keeps an eye on everyone’s health. Bathing is a problem because my aunt prefers baths, but the rooms only have showers with a basic shower head, which I’ll need to change. The spa tub is amazing, but it’s hard to get her there, and the staff can’t make her go—it’s assisted living. The nurse who works here is wonderful; I don’t know how she does it all. I appreciate all the staff who work here.

"Assisted Living Facility Too Independent and Spacious for Alzheimer's Care"
This place was nice, but it was too self-sufficient for my mom with Alzheimer's. Also felt it was too large.

"Mixed Experience: Nice Features but Cleaning Needs Improvement"
There's a lot to like here, but a few issues came up. When I first arrived, the shower wasn't clean, and when I mentioned it, the lady cleaning it seemed surprised that I wanted the walls done too. Moving in during a busy holiday might explain some of the hiccups, but things got better from Tuesday onwards. My apartment is pleasant, and the staff are friendly and helpful. I do think they could do a better job with cleaning, not just in the showers. However, overall, I enjoy living here. I hadn't seen the facility before I moved in, but the food is much better than what I had before.

"Family Satisfaction with Assisted Living; Stellar Advisor Deborah Parke"
My brother's mother-in-law lives there and they really like it. She's waiting for her husband to join her from rehab, but I don't think he'll be able to. She misses home and stays in her room a lot. She does like her apartment. A staff from A Place for Mom was wonderful to work with. She's so helpful and really went out of her way to answer my questions.
