"Limited Payment Options Disappointed Us; Nice Facility Otherwise"
New Perspective was a really nice place. They only accept cash and don’t take Medicaid in the future, so we had to search elsewhere.

"A Peaceful Place Where Everyone Knows Your Name"
My husband and I have been living here for a little over a year, and we both really like it. We pray that we can keep up our health to stay longer. The food is good, and there are activities for everyone. I even take the bus to go shopping. The physical therapy I'm doing is helping me feel better too. What I love most is how quiet it is—no noise in the halls, and I feel very safe. The caregivers are wonderful, some are especially caring and are there for us when we need support. Any maintenance issues get fixed quickly, and the front desk staff is always cheerful and helpful. The management listens and tries to make things better. I once had a small complaint, and it was fixed almost the next day. One more thing I love—everyone knows my name here.

"Beautiful but lacking care: Assisted Living Disappoints Elderly Residents"
The people running the place don't seem to understand what the elderly folks need or want. They mess up restaurant reservations and act all surprised when they can't seat a big group. The activities are a mess too, always getting canceled or poorly organized. They don't really connect with the community either. The caregivers don't seem to know what they're doing; sometimes they even yell at or ignore the people who live there. I hope my family never has to stay there. If you're able to take care of yourself, you're pretty much on your own. The place looks nice, and the concierge people are friendly, but they can't hang onto staff. There's always new people coming and going, especially aides and housekeepers. Plus, everything has to be approved by the big corporate office, which takes forever. And don't even get me started on the food—it's awful.

"Mixed Experience in Assisted Living Facility"
If you're looking for independent living, make sure to understand what the facility can and cannot do. It's important to know their limitations; for example, they may not be able to help you up if you fall. The facility itself is pretty and the apartments are nice. Most of the staff members are friendly and helpful. However, it seems like the administrators don't always understand what the residents want. They seem to listen only to a few "special" residents who don't represent everyone. When residents raise concerns, the response is often just "we'll look into it," with no follow-up. The facility sometimes uses the HIPAA law as an excuse for not addressing issues, even if they might not actually be covered by the law. The food is okay, but the chef doesn't seem open to suggestions for healthier options. They only seem concerned about diets for assisted living residents. Also, there are a lot of family relationships among the staff and administrators. If you have concerns about a staff member, their supervisor might be related to them, and they might protect each other.

"Beautiful Place, But Administrators Need Improvement"
Before choosing independent living, make sure you know what the facility can and can't do. The place looks nice, but administrators need to improve their understanding and follow-through.

"Great Facility for Mom"
New Perspective is a really good place, and I’d consider it for my mom. I’m having some problems with her current home that I need to fix first. If those weren’t there, I’d likely be figuring out how to move her here. The rooms are really nice, and I liked how they take care of the residents. They keep them busy and involved, they even have a pool for therapy, and there’s always a skilled nurse around. She was very helpful in answering all my questions.

"Highly Recommend for Finding a Loved One's Home"
[Removed] was super helpful in finding a place for my aunt! She checked in with us a lot to see how things were going, even after our aunt got settled in! I would totally recommend this to anyone looking for a place for a loved one! **Headline:**

"Mom Thriving in New Assisted Living, Despite Staff Transition"
Mom is settling in well at the assisted living facility. She's making friends, enjoying activities and social events, and finds the staff very kind. There's currently a transition in maintenance personnel, with a temporary replacement doing their best. Mom also reports that the food quality is very good.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Facility"
The place looks great with fancy features like a pool and underground parking. But it’s too big and lacks a personal touch. Also, quite expensive – felt like a timeshare pitch.

"Ghost Town Dilemma"
The assisted living facility looked lovely, but the cost worried us. It felt somewhat deserted, like a ghost town. Ultimately, we didn’t choose it for our loved one.

"Caring Staff, Smooth Transition, Missing Contact List - Overall Good"
New Perspectives has really nice caregivers. It was tough for us when we first moved there, but we got used to it and now we're grateful for how well they take care of us. Everybody was friendly and nice. It would've been helpful to have a list of important phone numbers when we moved in.

"Much To Improve In This Assisted Living Facility!"
This assisted living facility sure talks a good game, but they can't deliver on their promises. Most workers pretend to be nicer than they really are. I've seen them ignore residents instead of helping them join in activities. It's so disappointing. When there was a tornado warning, it was a total mess. One person was trying to help three floors of people, and the residents were all confused about where to go. The food here is almost always cold, and you're lucky if you get what's listed on the menu. I don't trust anything from their bistro - you might end up with a sandwich or salad that's been sitting around for days. They sometimes cancel activities without telling anyone, or they'll plan something lame like flying a kite. The staff are always loud and have zero respect for the quiet hours. The building doesn't have any sound insulation either. The only good thing about this place is how it looks. Get ready to pay extra for everything and don't expect your loved ones to get good care. If your family member has allergies, don't bother telling them. I saw the kitchen staff say, "she should know what she can and can't eat." I have more complaints, but I'll stop here. I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody.
