"Well-kept, new, and has everything you need."

It's a nice place. Well-kept and new. Has everything you need.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"

The staff is friendlier now, but there's a mean night aide who struggles with timely medication. The call button issue seems fixed, though service remains slow. The dining room staff is pleasant, but our mother's needs might be a problem if she had more issues.

"Mixed experiences, inconsistent care, head nurse concerns"

Most caregivers were good, but some slept or ignored calls. A few were excellent. However, the head nurse was difficult. She should have sent my husband to the hospital twice but didn't. Family had to intervene. That's why we moved him.

"Convenient assisted living with friendly staff; recommended for proximity."

We chose this place because it's close to where my sister and I live. They have good services and the staff are nice. It's a good option if someone needs to move to memory care later on. I would tell others to consider it.

"Good care but missing activities for assisted living residents"

My Dad was in the assisted living area. Here are some things you should ask about: 1) Are they accredited? 2) Who manages and changes his medication? 3) Who helps him get up, eat, and bathe? 4) Are there activities or a schedule of things to do (this was missing at NP in assisted care)? 5) What assistive devices do I need to provide? 6) What are the visiting hours for family? 7) Are there any Covid or infection restrictions? Overall, I was happy with the care my Dad received. The staff worked well with me and hospice to take care of him. His physical needs were met. However, even though he had physical limitations, his mind was sharp, and it would have been nice if there were activities like cards or bingo for assisted care residents. It wasn't suitable for them to join activities meant for independent living residents. Thank you.

"Nice Place, But Needs More Trained and Polite Staff"

The place looks great and the front desk is friendly. However, they don't have enough staff. The people who take care of the residents didn't go to school after high school. The ones who give out the medicine are usually not nice and quick with the residents. Sometimes, they even forget to give the medicine. When you ask them about it, they're not nice. The nurses who are registered are really good, but they seem like they have too much work.

"Great place with friendly staff and beautiful facilities; room for food improvement"

My loved one really likes it here. We had a few issues at first, but the community fixed them. I think they work hard to address any family concerns over time. New Perspective is managing okay despite being short-staffed, which is common these days. The food is just average and could be better. There are three meals a day with some choices, but I think they could improve. Also, when my loved one first moved in, the hot water in the bathroom wasn't working, and it took a while to fix. My loved one has made friends quickly, and the building is beautiful! The apartment is also great for them.

"Assisted Living Review"

When we visited the assisted living facility to find a place for my mom, the sales staff were great. They showed us all the rooms and explained the amenities. Based on that, we chose this place for Mom. She moved in. However, we had problems with meals and consistent care. After 4 months, we discovered bed bugs. The staff said another resident upstairs had them, and Mom might have brought them to her apartment. They treated the room, but in May, we found bugs again and had to treat the room once more! In July, the bugs returned, and Mom was stuck in her room for 4 days without food. Her new $1,600 lift/recliner was also infested. We were told we could keep it after treatment, but that was a mistake—the bugs came back. The administrator didn't seem concerned, and her apartment hadn't been cleaned since June. We moved out two weeks ago and are much happier with Mom's new place and the care!

"Award-Winning Senior Living with Responsive Staff and Fun Activities"

This place is worth checking out. I suggest taking a tour to see how you can fit in. They even won an award for Best Senior Living. The staff responds quickly to residents' requests, and the activities are great.

"Great place with lots of fun activities and friendly atmosphere"

This is a nice place to live. It’s a diverse community with plenty of activities. They have bar nights, sing-alongs with popcorn, sports watching, and opportunities to make friends. There’s also a heated pool, a bistro, card games, and karaoke nights. There’s always something for residents to enjoy.

"Deceptive Assisted Living Facility Inflicts Heartbreak"

Deceptive First Impressions of Assisted Living Facility: A Heartbreaking Experience, When my sisters first showed me the assisted living facility they had picked for our mom, I looked it up online. I was really happy with what I saw. The first time I visited my mom at the facility, I again felt good about our choice. But everything changed when mom's health declined and she was moved to the Memory Care unit. We were promised she'd be taken great care of. Our mom, a single mother of ten, always taught us to take pride in our appearance and living conditions. We wanted her to live just as well in her old age. But my heart cracked when I saw how dreadfully she was treated, a sight I'll never erase from my mind. No creature should live like that. It's hard not to wonder how long she'd been living like this, especially since we hadn't visited her room since March. Yes, the staff is at fault, but they're only as good as their training and leaders. So I ask you, would you want your mom to live this way? And what would you do about it?

"Mother Neglected at Dementia Facility, New Perspective"

My personal experience with New Perspective made me realize that this is not a place for loved ones needing memory care. We enrolled our mom here because the facility looked appealing, but the level of care was very disappointing. I went to visit my mom on for the first time since the pandemic started, and I was taken aback by what I saw. the nurse, took me to my mom's room which was in terrible condition. The room had an unbearable smell and was dirty with feces and stains. My mom looked neglected; her hair was unkempt and it seemed like she hadn't been taken care of properly. I felt heartbroken to see her in such a state and decided she could not stay there. Immediately, I took my mom home. Her diaper was fully soaked and she smelled very bad; I had to bathe her right away. The water in the tub turned dirty instantly and my mom's feet were blackened, swollen. Her toenails had grown so long that it hurt her. This is no way to treat anyone, let alone someone with dementia/Alzheimer. This should not be happening, especially as my mom was being charged over $6000 a month for her stay at New Perspective. In my opinion, New Perspective needs to be closed down due to their inability to provide for Dementia/Alzheimer patients. The management team is not doing a good job and needs to be replaced with some empathetic and caring people. My husband made a good point when he compared our home to New Perspective. Our home might look nice from the outside, but it's also beautiful on the inside because of the care we put into it. Similarly, New Perspective might look nice from the outside, but the lack of care on the inside is evident from the unclean rooms and the residents who look dirty. Please, do not even consider this place for your loved ones. They only seem interested in the money and not in the people they are supposed to care for. And, about the condition my mom was in, I found her shower head in her drawer; it had been detached and left on the floor. This explained why my mom smelled so bad - how could she shower without a shower head? It's unbelievable that nobody noticed this. New Perspective is no better than a joke, and so is their management.

"Great Care and Safety in Memory Care Unit"

I spent around six months in the memory care unit. The staff took great care of me, making sure I had a good quality of life during my stay. They kept me active with physical therapy and activities. They also supervised my care really well, and safety was a top priority.

"Short-staffed and pricey, care needs improvement."

The staff tries hard, but they are very short-staffed, so it's difficult for them to give you the proper care you need. It's expensive for the level of care you receive.

"Small, caring, needs more activities."

What we like about Hamilton Park Place is that it's a small, well-run community. The staff cares and goes the extra mile. Opportunities for improvement - we wish they had more activities planned, but that's the tradeoff of a smaller place.

"Not Ideal for Rehab or Activities"

New Perspectives is a nice place. The staff is friendly, and the food is better than average. Unfortunately, there aren't many activities, which left my mom feeling bored. She went there for leg rehab, and the physical therapy department was excellent. However, the day-to-day nursing care was lacking—slow to respond to call lights, sometimes with 45-minute waits. The room wasn't ready for someone with mobility challenges, and housekeeping wasn't great. Overall, I wouldn't recommend New Perspectives for rehab, and residents won't find much to do either.

"“Fooled by New Perspective Senior Living's Misleading Presentation”"

I wouldn't suggest choosing New Perspective Senior Living for a loved one who may struggle to communicate clearly. The lack of professionalism there has taken me by surprise, especially for such a new place. After attending their Open House, we were sold. The location was on point, the place looked great, and their tour was pretty cool. Even though it was on the pricey side, we thought this was it! We felt good about trusting their team to treat elderly folks right. But every visit since has just left us feeling let down, upset, and shocked. The care and attention they promised isn't always there for these precious, vulnerable seniors. Sure, there are some workers that do a good job, but the bad times seem to happen more often. We've had so many questions: Do they have cameras around? Is someone in charge of watching the staff? What goes on during the night shifts? Do the workers know how to be kind and caring towards the elderly? What's the staff turnover rate like? Each time we’re there, it's as if something’s not right. One time, I saw a worker harshly pressing a woman’s foot onto a wheelchair pedal. The same time, my relative's room reeked of urine and a worker was glued to her phone, ignoring the residents. They definitely need to review their night-time security measures. I couldn’t even complain during the visit because I had another meeting I had to rush to.

"Great support for finding a home for my 80-year-old sister"

Finding the right place for independent or assisted living can be really tough and confusing, especially for those directly involved. [Name removed] at New Perspective was amazing. She was patient, full of useful information, and always looking for solutions to any problems that came up. Thanks to her, my 80-year-old sister felt very comfortable making these big decisions. We’re excited about starting what we hope will be a long-term relationship with this facility.

"Great Care and Support at New Perspectives North Shore"

My dad is currently at New Perspectives North Shore, and he's now in hospice care. From the start, we were treated with a lot of care and concern. It was our first time placing a loved one in specialty care, and choosing New Perspectives North Shore was a good decision. The caregivers are very attentive to my dad’s needs. With hospice care, there’s been extra support, and I feel good about his placement. They had a solid plan and high hopes, but things didn’t turn out as expected. What I really appreciated was that the staff valued my opinions, even though I’m not a medical expert. They always provided hope, even when the situation was tough. I think any family would be happy with the care at New Perspectives North Shore!

"Highly recommend New Perspective Senior Living for compassionate care."

We had an amazing experience with New Perspective Senior Living in Brown Deer, WI! The Director of Sales was so helpful in moving our dear mother into their Memory Care area after we cared for her at home for 8 years. She was easy to talk to and very available. The nurse who came for the in-home assessment, was very warm and made Mom feel comfortable right away. She was kind and caring while figuring out the best way to help Mom at New Perspective. It’s tough to let your loved one go, but we trust they will provide the best care as Mom's Alzheimer's and Dementia progress.

"Life at New Perspective North Shore"

I looked at many places for seniors aged sixty and older to live before I found New Perspective. It's a beautiful facility, less than two years old, close to shopping areas, and within walking distance. New Perspective offers lovely living quarters for most senior needs, including cleaning services, exercise, swimming, and meal services. Some rooms even come furnished with kitchen and washing appliances at no extra cost. I especially enjoy the free special trips for shopping and doctor appointments, as well as the no-cost entertainment that keeps us from getting bored throughout the day and evening. I encourage anyone seeking senior living quarters to check out New Perspective.

"Fun, friendly place with great therapy support!"

I love the people at North Shore! My favorite thing to do is join in on the live music, and I enjoy dancing with the other residents. I like stepping out of my apartment and having someone to talk to. Fox Therapy really helped me when I was feeling dizzy, and now I don’t have that problem anymore. They also helped me decide on a surgery that will let me walk better. I’d recommend anyone to visit and think about living at North Shore!

"Beautiful New Facility with Friendly Staff and Helpful Salesperson"

After being tired of yard work and snow removal, my wife and I decided to sell our house and move into an independent living facility. We had seen this new building being built, so we decided to visit and check it out. The building was beautiful and well-designed. We looked at all the apartments and visited three times before we were sure this was the place for us. The salesperson was very helpful and made us feel welcome. The staff was also very friendly.

"Beautiful place with friendly staff and comfy rooms"

My mom is doing really well and getting comfortable. The staff is super friendly and takes great care of her. There's a helpful concierge who makes things easier. The community looks beautiful and is well-kept. The food is okay, but I think they could offer more options to meet everyone's dietary needs. My mom's room is lovely, and she arranged the furniture just how she likes it. I want to thank A Place for Mom and my social worker for helping us find this great place!
