"Disappointing Assisted Living Experience: Poor Maintenance and Care Standards"
I didn't like New Perspectives much. It's owned by a faraway company that only cares about money. The food isn't good, and the building isn't looked after well. Sometimes the call buttons don't work because the batteries die, and nobody checks them regularly. The air inside isn't good either, even though we tried using air purifiers all the time. We even found bees in the air system! The water in the showers isn't even warm enough, and I don't think it meets the state's rules. They're supposed to check on the residents every day, but sometimes they forget. I wish we hadn't chosen New Perspectives for my mom. There are better places that give you more for your money and take better care of people.

New Perspective Senior Living is a lovely place. The food and dining service are top-notch. The staff members we’ve met are friendly and helpful. From what we’ve experienced so far, we’d suggest this place to other families looking for a home for their loved ones.

"Perfect mix of independent and assisted care; great amenities."
Having both independent and assisted living is perfect for my uncle, who only needs minimal help. The facility has a heated therapy pool and an on-site physical therapy/fitness center, which he plans to use. They also offer several monthly activities that interest him. The apartment has a small full kitchen, space for a table, a living room, bedroom, and bath, so he can bring his kitchen table too. There's a 3-4 month waiting list, giving him time to prepare his house for sale.

"Comfortable New Home"
I just moved in here two weeks ago, and it already feels like a good match for me. Even though I’m only 60, some health problems meant I had to leave my old house. Living alone since my husband passed away, my kids worried about me being by myself. I really wanted to stay in my neighborhood for a bunch of reasons. New Perspectives has everything I need, and knowing some folks who work here makes me feel more at ease in a new spot. I’m planning on sticking around for a while.

"Love the pool and would choose this place."
I don’t live here, but I’m happy to use the pool for therapy. When the time comes, this will be my only choice.

"Great tour but too independent for our needs!"
We went to check out the New Perspective Senior Living | West Bend, and the person showing us around knew their stuff and told us a bunch of things. We decided not to pick this place because it seemed more like you had to do things on your own, which wasn't what we wanted.

"The food and service are fantastic here!"
My dad just moved into this amazing place. The food is incredible—way better than his old place. There, he only had microwave eggs, oatmeal, cereal, and toast for breakfast. Here, they make breakfast to order with omelets, bacon, and more. We love the food, the service, and all the friendly smiles.

"Very impressed with staff and services"
This place is fantastic! My father has settled in really well here. Everyone, from the cooks to the cleaning staff, is genuinely friendly. They've exceeded all my expectations. The food is great, and my father loves it. There are plenty of good activities for the residents too. Everything they promised has been delivered. The process was easy, but it's a pricey place. I’d recommend it only if you can afford it.

"So far, it’s been awesome"
So far, it’s been awesome. My mom is really happy. She loves her apartment and is joining in all the activities. I haven’t heard a single complaint. I’d rate them a four and a half or five.

"Great Help Moving Dad Quickly Despite Challenges"
We got a lot of help moving my dad from Florida to Wisconsin in just six weeks. Even with the holidays and weather making things tricky, the staff was on top of everything. Thanks a bunch!!

"Assisted Living Facility Review: Decent but Costs Can Skyrocket"
My mom stayed there for a year. At first, the price seemed fair. They check on residents every six months, but that's when they might bump up the care level (and the bill), not to mention yearly price hikes. When my mom moved in, they said her money would last about 20 years. But with the constant price jumps, it's more like 4-6 years! It's a nice place with friendly staff, okay food options, and pretty clean rooms. But you have to pay a fee to join, and the care you get might not match what you're paying. They offer lots of activities, but not everyone can join in. And it seems like your money goes toward covering those who can. In my experience, they start you off with a low price but then keep raising it once you're settled. It's like a trick called "bait and switch. The cost shot up by 56% from

"Beware: 'Bait and Switch' at Assisted Living Facility"
My mom's been living at the Light House of West Bend for a year. The original monthly price was fair. Every six months, they check on her and might add more charges to her care, not counting the yearly cost-of-living raises. They gave us a document saying mom's money would last around 20 years. But with constant yearly price hikes, it's looking more like 4 to 6 years! The place is pretty nice, with friendly staff, good food options, and clean rooms. But there's a non-refundable sign-up fee. Given the high cost, I'm not so sure about the quality of care. They offer a lot of activities, but not all residents can join in. If you're paying monthly, you're basically funding these extras for the people who can and want to join these events. In my experience, they'll offer you a lower rate to start with and then slowly raise the care prices once your loved one is settled in. It's a classic "bait and switch" sales trick.

"Friendly and Bright Community with Great Food"
I felt good as soon as I walked into this place. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. The tour was great, and I loved that the hallways had lots of windows for natural light. There are two atriums where residents can go outside and get some fresh air. Mom says the food is good, and she can't wait to plant something in one of those atriums. This place is clean, safe, and fits Mom's budget.

"Friendly, helpful staff and a clean, well-maintained community."
I live in another state, but when my mother moved in, the community was very clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful during her move. Since then, I’ve talked to family who visits her, and they say she is adjusting well. They haven’t said if she is joining activities, but I know they offer them.

"Friendly staff and great options!"
I loved this place when I visited! Everyone was friendly and helpful. After moving my mom here, she started feeling happier within a week. She hasn’t tried any activities yet, but there are so many to choose from. Everyone is really nice, and the staff genuinely care about the residents. They are outgoing and very helpful. I recommend this community to anyone looking in West Bend.

"A Positive Start"
Mom has been at Lighthouse of West Bend for about 2 months now. Our experience has been pretty good so far. The staff is friendly, polite, and helpful. I'll wait to form an opinion about the medical personnel until we've been here longer. We're working through some issues, but overall, things are positive. The administration is also easy to deal with, and Mom enjoys living at Lighthouse.

"Charming Facility, Needs Staffing and Training Improvement"
This place is really pretty. But, I've noticed several problems with how they care for people because I don't think they have enough staff. Also, I'm not sure if their staff is well-trained. They didn't provide the kind of care they said they would for my sister. They do know they need to do things better and seem to be trying to make those changes. I appreciate this effort.
