In early November, I placed a deposit for my mom's room at Our House, anticipating an availability within 2-4 weeks. However, I didn't receive any feedback from them. Despite my numerous calls, they never responded. By January, I was so exasperated by their lack of communication, I requested a refund of my $500 deposit. After making multiple calls and leaving many messages, I finally managed to reach the House Manager. It took them several more weeks to process my refund in the form of a company check. To my disbelief, a few days after cashing the check, my bank informed me it was invalid, as the issuing account was blocked. On top of that, I was charged a $10 fee for the returned check. When I confronted Our House about this, they apologized and promised to look into the matter. But that's where it ended. Even after my call last Friday and another one just today, they've still not gotten back to me. The whole experience dealing with Our House has been utterly frustrating due their dismal communication and disregard for financial transactions. It's a relief I didn't move my mom into this facility.

"Our House Wisconsin Rapids, WI tour"
I didn't visit the River Falls facility, but I toured Our House in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. I got answers about care, but it could be cleaner. Noticed a sour smell and outdated carpeting. Residents seemed happy doing crafts. Families should tour for care.
