"Good care, pleasant staff, and enjoyable activities overall."
Overall, this place is pretty good. We're happy with Mom being here. From what we've seen, the care staff at rehab centers seem a bit more skilled than those at assisted living centers, but the staff here is still good. They’re always friendly and nice. Communication with the family is okay. I've asked the Director questions a few times and didn’t always get a reply. Mom likes the food; it’s good quality and they offer a good variety. Housekeeping comes once a week and they take out the trash daily, doing a great job. The activities are decent. They try hard, though sometimes scheduled activities don’t happen because of low participation. Still, there are lots of activities, and Mom loves Bingo. She’s been more active since coming here and really likes it. After a stay at a rehab center, she was eager to return here. I would recommend this place to friends and family.

"Friendly staff and nice facility, but high cost is concern"
The staff was really friendly, and the place looked new and welcoming. We didn’t see anything wrong, and we’re thinking about choosing this facility for my mom. The only issue is the cost. It’s $4,100 a month, while Heritage of Portage is $2,700 a month. It might be tough to explain the extra cost.

"Great for independent living, helpful staff, nice facility"
I visited this place while searching for my Aunt. We didn’t choose it because it’s more for independent living and didn’t have enough care for her needs. The marketing director was super helpful and gave us clear answers to all our questions. The facility is very nice and the staff was friendly. I’d recommend it to other families.

"Decent assisted living option, but not our top choice."
We visited Parkside when searching for a place for my dad. It seemed nice, with apartments and duplexes, plus he'd have liked the two-car garages. But it wasn't as convenient to get around as other places we saw, so we picked a different one.

"Friendly staff and clean, but not the right fit"
I visited Parkside while searching for a place for my mom. The guide who showed me around was nice and gave lots of information. The place was clean and nicely arranged, but it wasn't the best choice for my mom at that time.

"Friendly Staff and Clean Facility at Parkside"
My mom is still getting used to everything, but the staff at Parkside are great. They are caring and nice. The place is clean and we have no complaints so far. I’m sure once she gets more settled, she’ll like it more.”

"Wonderful staff, comfortable rooms, and active community at Parkside"
The Parkside community has been a great choice for me. The staff here are amazing; by the end of my first day, everyone knew my name. They hold regular meetings where residents can suggest any changes they want. When I first moved in, the food wasn’t very good. But after I mentioned it, they quickly worked to improve it. The community offers lots of activities like puzzles, bingo, and hour-long exercise classes. My room is cozy with a bedroom, a den, and my own bathroom. I’m very happy here and would recommend this place to anyone looking.

"Great new building, but more staff and resident interaction needed"
The facility gave me plenty of info on living more independently. The people there seemed pretty normal. I spoke with the person in charge but didn’t get to talk to the staff. I wasn’t a fan of only talking to the main person. The building is brand new, and the rooms are really nice and spacious. I wish I could have met more of the staff and residents.

A Place For Mom Customer
"Limited Resident Interaction at Assisted Living"
The tour focused on programs, and the chef-prepared meals were enjoyable. However, there wasn't much interaction with the residents.
