"Gloomy Assisted Living Facility Falls Short"

Whenever the seniors appear and disconnected, sitting in front of a TV, it's not a good sign. The assisted living facility felt dark and gloomy, and the smell was the first thing that hit us. 'Gloomy' would be the word I'd use.
